Rodrigo had promised me that he would come back to marry me, and I waited for him and even prepared my wedding dress. But he didn’t return. Nevertheless I kept waiting. People laughed at me for waiting so long, but I waited and waited until one day Rodrigo came back. Although we weren’t the same as before we still loved each other. I thank the Virgin because finally I’m happy after wanting so long.

The man whom I fell in love with deceived me and made me sell my body on the street. I give thanks to the Holy Child because my parents forgave me and now I’m going back to Zacatecas which I would have never left.

My son Arturo became a sleep-walker since his father had gone to work in Morelia. Arturo went opening drawers and closets and seeking and raking about. I was desperate, and I prayed to the Virgin of Zapopan, because I was afraid my son would become a real thief. The Virgin heard my prayers, and August 18, 1940, my husband came back home. And my boy got cured from his illness right away. I thank for that.

I went to USA as illegal immigrant to work. I missed my family so much, and I asked the Virgin of Guadalupe for a miracle to be with them. Few years later, I finally came back, at the height of the December holidays, to stay forever with my wife and my kids.

I dedicate this retablo to the Virgin of San Juan for helping me to come back from USA with some dollars, so I could get married and buy my truck and work on my land.

After a horrible fight, my girlfriend Rosita left me and went into the convent. Since I loved her so much and wanted to be with her, I prayed to the Holy Child of Atocha so that he would help me to turn her back. And thanks to him Rosita didn’t like staying in the convent at all. She was given too many work to do and the food over there was terrible. So she left the convent and forgave me.

With great joy, I give thanks to God and the Virgin of Guadalupe for such a big favor. I thought I’d never get married because my best years were behind me. But one day my boyfriend, who went in USA few years ago, returned. He proposed me, and I gladly accepted his proposal, because he is the love of my life. He organized a very cute wedding for me.

Since my fiancé Jose Fransisco went to work to the North and I didn’t receive any news from him, I started to think he had left me for ever. I still loved him, but nevertheless, I agreed to marry Ramon. But I kept praying to the Virgin so that Jose would return. And on the day of the wedding Jose Fransisco arrived right in front of the church doors. He took me on his horse and we rode away. Ramon chased us for quite a long time, but at the end he conceded defeat and stopped following us. Two days later we got married. I thank the Virgin of Guadalupe for the happiness.

Saint Jude Thaddeus, I thank you for your support. My masochistic partner had a doubt about his desires. We argued heatedly about it, until the day of the breaking up came. However, four months later he couldn’t stand the separation, and thanks to Saint Jude we returned to each other. He realized what he wanted and accepted who he was. So now, before going to sleep, he asks me to spank him really good.

When my family and I came back from our relatives to our village, we discovered that all the inhabitants had been abducted by an UFO. We thank the Virgin of Zapopan because the UFO didn’t notice us, so now we had the entire village in our disposal.

I was sure that my daughter Felisa wouldn’t get married as easily as her sisters because she was very thin. I prayed to Saint Anthony, and he worked the miracle. My daughter had the best wedding in our family. She married Arturo, the Jose Padilla’s son, who came back to the town after finishing his studies of medicine at the capital. I give infinite thanks.

At the end of the 200th anniversary year, I came back to my land. There I met a stray dog, in which I saw bad intentions. It was approaching to bite me. As I saw its fangs, I, Gil Gutierrez Sanchez, prayed to the Lord of the Lightnings, who having heard me playing on guitar and heard my prayers and protected me from the malicious beast.

The Galvan Alvarez family thanks Saint Jude Thaddeus for the miracle of coming back home to their town after spending several years in Dallas, Texas.
