We dedicate the present retablo, with deep gratitude, to the Lord of the Wonders for always giving us his protection during our performance of the Dance of Huahuas. We perform it for many years, and thanks to his blessing we have never had any falls or accidents.

I had to carry the firework bull at the feast of the town’s patron saint. But they put too much powder in, I was afraid to burn myself with the fireworks. I entrusted myself to the Virgin of Guadalupe so she would help me, and thanks to her divine help nothing happened to me. I thank for that with this humble retablo.

One evening, when I was in the mountains, it started raining very hard. My sheep got so scared they ran and lost me. It brought me a deep sorrow, and I implored to Saint Francis of Assisi with all my faith. Three days later, I found my sheep in the field. They were alright and no one missing. I give thanks for such a big miracle.
