It was late when we left the wedding celebration of our cousin Filemon. We were riding back home, and the devil himself appeared to us. He blocked our way and wanted to take us with him. But since my brother and I always wear the Virgin of San Juan’s medallions, we showed them to the devil, and he didn’t dare to come closer. He vanished with a smoke leaving the sulphur stink. We thank the Virgin for protecting us.

We were going by the old road to Lagos de Moreno late at night, and the ghost of a bride appeared to us. She was wondering around looking for her groom. We were so scared, our hair turned white. But thanks to the Virgin of Zapopan’s medallions which our grandmother had given to us and which we had been always wearing on our necks the bride didn’t notice us. They said she takes all the men she met and drags them to her grave.

I was coming back home after buying a piglet, when a devil made my horse to stumble on the rocks. That devil had been following me for days, doing his shenanigans. There were a lot of cacti in that place where my horse stumbled. But thanks to the Virgin nor the horse, nor the piglet, nor I fell into them but landed on the grass. After that accident I bought a medallion of the Virgin of Zapopan, and the furious devil had to leave me in peace.

It was late when we were coming back home from the Ambrosio’s wedding. Then the devil appeared to us. He blocked our way and certainly wanted to pierce us. But since my brother and I wore medallions of the Virgin of San Juan the devil didn’t dare to come closer thanks to this protection. We thank because we were saved at that danger moment.

My sons went to the movie to watch a movie with monsters and mummy without asking my permission. After the movie they were so scared, that when they were going through a dark alley they imagined that there was a mummy growling at them. But my Samuel took out his medallion of the Virgin of San Juan, and the mummy got scared. So the kids ran away, and this monster didn’t follow them. I thank the Virgin for protecting my sons.
