1943, a mermaid appeared to the boatman Catarino Fernandez. She tried to take him to the bottom of the sea. He thanks the Virgin of the Charity because he escaped.

Boatman Jasinto Romero gives thanks to Saint Peter offering this retablo because with help of the saint he learned to speak english, since all his clients are gringos.

The boatman Joaquin Meneses makes a good living taking tourists to see the whales. He thanks Saint Peter for this great favor with the present retablo.

Holy Child of Atocha, thank you for your help. I went to the sea to test my surf-board. I was catching the waves when suddenly I got cramp. My surf taken by the waves floated away from me. I tried to reach the rocks, but the waves smashed me into them. However, thanks to my Holy Child everything ended up well. I was saved by two boatmen.
