With this retablo, I’m infinitely grateful to Saint Martin the Cavalryman for my sexy voice because thanks to it I have an excellent job on a popular hot-line. It’s very fun because the men who call think I’m the beauty from the photo and don’t realize how I look in real life. Besides, they pay me very good.

I suspected that my boss was attracted to me physically. My suspicions were confirmed during the office party at the end of the year. He was shamelessly hounding me all night. I give infinite thanks to Saint Martin the Cavalryman because I found another job since my situation had become unbearable—apart from me not liking him, he’s also married.

I thank Saint Martin the Cavalryman with this humble retablo for not leaving me when I so needed him. I was going to close my shop because of lack of clients. But one day a deputy came to my shop and asked for a haircut. He was so pleased with it that he recommended me to his family and the friend from high society. And my life changed.

The Tapia bothers, Aquilino and Sabino, wholeheartedly thank Saint Martin the Cavalryman for opening their own bakery. For many years they worked as bakers and dreamt to open their own shop one day. With the saint’s divine help, after many years of hard work, they made their dream come true, for which they humbly thank with this simple retablo.

My father and I went to work to the United States and worked as carpenters. We give infinite thanks to Saint Martin the Cavalryman for we returned to our country. With all the money we made, we opened our own carpentry shop in our town, and we have a lot of work.

The other day, I was working at the construction site, and a very beautiful girl was passing by. I couldn’t resist and made some flirtatious compliments to her. My bad luck, I didn’t notice the cement dropping out of my cart and felling right on the engineer. I thank Saint Martin the Cavalryman because the engineer turned out to be a good man. He didn’t kick me out and saw the whole situation with humor. I promise to not flirt in working hours.

Candido Gomez dedicates the present retablo to Saint Martin the Cavalryman for helping me to find a better job. He used to work as a mascot for pizzeria wearing the pizza costume which was very hot, so he fainted a lot, and, beside that, the dogs were constantly barking at him. Now he has a much quieter job.

The bar “El Atorón” was at the point of bankruptcy. Eve flies didn’t visit it. But the lady-owner prayed to Saint Martin, and things went better again. She thanks the saint with this retablo for her place prosperity.
