I dedicate this exvoto to Saint Francis of Assisi in gratitude for the evolution of the Godzilla movies, one of my favorite movie monsters. The latest movies have recovered the essence of the character, and I think they are going in right direction to show his grandeur and splendor.

One day my house was invaded by bats, but thanks to Saint Quiteria I’d went to the movies to see “Dracula” a day before, so they didn’t catch me by surprise. I put a garlic collar on my cat and amend myself with a cross so they wouldn’t suck our blood. We defended ourselves until the saint threw all these infernal beasts out of my house which I asked her for with devotion. I thank for her protection.

With the present retablo, I infinitely thank Saint Peter for helping me to overcome the fear of swimming in the ocean because after watching the film “Jaws” in the movies I got a trauma and wouldn’t go swimming. But I’ve overcome it now. May you be blessed.
