My daughter liked to swing on a huge tree near the river. One day I saw an ocelot right on the branch which the swing was hung on. I ran, but I was far from there. I was praying to the Virgin of Guadalupe, and thanks to her the animal didn’t attack my girl but jumped to another tree where there were many squirrels, and then it went away.

I dedicate this retablo to the Holy Child of Atocha to thank him for my son Benjamin Lagunas was unhurt when he fell off a swing.

I love swinging over the cliff. It gives me the feeling of flying like the birds. I thank the Blessed Sacrament because I haven’t had accidents by my negligence, and I thank for this wonderful feeling of freedom.

My friend and I, both, were courting Mariana Alcantara, but she couldn’t decide whom to choose. One day she was playing on swings and accidentally hit me in the head with her leg. I was bleeding. Mariana saw my wound and was very worried about it, so she finally agreed to be my girlfriend. I thank the Virgin of Zapopan for this miracle.

My son Ricardo Antonio was swinging his sister very hard. My nephew Juanito was playing ball with the dog and didn’t notice how he got on the swing’s way. The swing hit him in the head, and he lost conscience. I was scared that he might die and his mother would accuse me of that. I entrusted him to the Holy Child the Savior. Juanito recovered and the only thing he got was a lump on his forehead.

I love swinging over the cliff. It gives me the feeling of flying like the birds. I thank the Blessed Sacrament because I haven’t had accidents by my negligence, and I thank for this wonderful feeling of freedom.

May 4, the boy Fidel was swinging and the rope broke. He fell and hit his head. His brother saw him lying like dead and prayed to the Virgin of San Juan so that everything would end well. And that moment, Fidel got up like nothing had happened.
