In August, don Laureano Mendez was stung by a scorpion in the field. He implored the Virgin of Zapopan for her divine help, and in few days got recovered. He was back to his job as a tlachiquero—pulque gatherer. For such a great miracle, he dedicates this humble retablo.

Jose Ramirez came back from a trip and went to sleep very tired. When he lysed in the bed a scorpion stung him right in the face. The consequences were really bad. Jose thanks Saint Francis with this retablo for his complete cure.

Fernando Tapia was very sick and couldn’t go out to the toilet. So he was making his business in a chamber pot. Suddenly a scorpion appeared from the pot and sat on a Fernando’s butt-cheek. He entrusted himself to the Lord of the Miracles so that the scorpion wouldn’t sting him and deteriorate his condition even more. Since the Lord made that miracle, Fernando offers this retablo.
