I was very sad for I’d been wrong in love. I asked Saint Anthony for his divine help, and few days later a very galant young man came to our town. I met him at the central square, and he began to court me. He’s turned out to be the love of my life. That’s what I always wanted so much, and I dedicate the present retablo for this.

He conquered her heart by giving her a carnivorous plant. She thank Saint Anthony for such an original man who’s also smart and has beautiful eyes. And with this plant, there are no more flies and mosquitos in her house.

As I was spending all day working at my master’s house, I thought I’d never find a fiancé. I asked Saint Anthony pf Padua for help, and few days later met Leopoldo, a new baker in the neighborhood. Now we are together, and I’m very happy. I dedicate this retablo.
