— You know Silvia, this is Zalo’s doggy, it appeared on the news.

This retablo is going to be dedicated to those two neighbors who were spending their evening smoking near the grocery store and saw my dog Rocky who had been lost for seven days when I got my seven toes amputated as an effect of diabetes. I thank CHV (Chilean Television) for recording the exact moment of the epiphany. Thanks God!

I dedicate this exvoto to the Holy Lord of Chalma for the best memory of my childhood—a marvelous, creative and crazy tv-program “The Hilarious House of Frightenstein”. I thanks for many hours of being entertained when I was a little boy.

I dedicate this humble retablo to Saint Jude Thaddeus for the program “Chavo from the 8”. My brother and I were very much entertained with the program when we were kids. Although I’m an adult now, I’m still enjoying watching it—now with my children.

I, Gabriela Magdala Lopez Ramirez, want to thank the Virgin of Guadalupe for all her favors received during 2019. I almost went crazy from the headache and anxiety attacks, but I managed to calm my mind by praying so my swim ring didn’t blow up. Thanks to the Brown-skin girl I got new jobs—one on TV and I staged my play in the theatre. Also our Union of Artistic Associations got bigger and better. Thanks from the heart.

December 2019

I dedicate this retablo to the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception hoping she will help me to do well at my new job oaf announcer on television. Sometimes I get nervous, begin to stutter and sweat a lot. I hope my bosses at the Canal 4 would be pleased with me.

December 30, 2004, at the evening, Ernesto Valdes Perez […] had an unpleasant experience with deadly consequences, when he almost died of long exposure to the carbon monoxide. He crawled out to the balcony, following his instinct, and activated the alarm that attracted the help of the Green Cross and the police and later on the morbid presence of the television with helicopters. However, they didn’t find anything serious, nor the victims. Thanks God for this miracle that happened in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, at the foot of the Saddle Mountain.

He made this retablo to the Virgin of Guadalupe in gratitude for saving his life.
