Virgin of Guadalupe, I dedicate you this retablo because my brother the Angel of Tacubaya feels well. He had dislocated his shoulder after the flight form the third rope to win over the Devil of Merced and thus to triumph in that extreme fight.

I thank Holy Child of Atocha for helping me to keep my great secret. In reality it’s my wife who is the boss in our house and I’m just a henpecked husband. If it became known, it would damage my tough image among the fans and I’d be a joke for my fellows wrestlers. I bring this humble retablo.

April 27, 1956, in Colonia Doctores, the new Arena Mexico, considered the Cathedral of lucha libre wrestling, was inaugurated. Among the stars were El Santo and El Medico Asesino (Medic Killer) who were the most notable wrestlers in the TV reports. Together they won over the Blue Demon and Rolando Vera. It was the first time I went to the wrestling.

We thank God because the father Fray Tormenta won this fight so he could keep helping the children from the streets and helpless women who need his support. For his generosity and modesty we dedicate this to him, with all our hearts.

Saint Jude Thaddeus, I thank you for finding an inspiration in wrestling to create paintings with folk tradition and fantasies of my Mexico, to the world.

I thank God because on July 26, 2006 The Dogs of Evil won. Mr. Aguilla, El Terrible and my favorite The Son of the Dog Aguaya performed a master fight against El Mistico, Negro Casas and Rey Bucanero. They showed who rules at the Arena Mexico, although they weren’t favorites. “The Dogs don’t forgive”. I won the bet to my girlfriend because we both love wrestling.

Since childhood I’ve been a fan of wrestling. My idol is Rey Mysterio. I give infinite thanks to Saint Jude Thaddeus because when Rey came to my hometown to fight I could see him from the first row and even took a photo with him which shows what a humble and modest person he is. Now I admire him even more.

We met in the wrestling, and it was an immediate attraction. We started our relationship, and we are a happy couple. We thank the Virgin of Guadalupe.

We offer this retablo to the Virgin of Guadalupe because the holy father Fray Tormenta won this fight in order to help the children from the streets and helpless women. They pray for him seeing his generosity and modesty. We entrust him to you, with all our hearts, for his help.

A piledriver move was used against the wrestler El Colibri. His spine was injured. Since no medicine would help him, he implored Saint Pancras and recovered. He dedicates the present retablo as gratitude.

Virgin of San Juan, thank you because Los Brazos won over Mil Mascaras and Atlantis in this charity fight for the Guadalajara victims. I ask you to look after and save my idol Super Brazo because he’s the best wrestler.
