Saint James the Apostle

Marvelous Saint James, we offer you this humble retablo for helping us with the soldiers who didn’t let the train pass because we were going where our general Pancho Villa was and we were carrying riffles and machine guns to him because we were fighting for our land and our freedom.

In December, the boy Cleto was going to hit piñata but accidentally hit his brother in the face. He started bleeding, and bleeding didn’t stop. His parents prayed to Saint James. Now, since the boy got cured, they thank for that.

Alfredo M. was badly beaten during a protest. He was severely injured and had a risk of becoming blind. He thanks Saint James with this retablo because it didn’t happened and he’s got recovered.

Luis Rojas thanks Saint James with this retablo for he managed to leave his house before it got collapsed during the earthquake.

R. M. was caught by the police for necrophilia. He thanks Saint James because the judge sent him to the psychiatric institution and not to the prison, where he would have been treated very badly.

November 2, I was frightened when I saw a dead man eating from the offerings we had put in honor of my grandfather. I prayed to St. James The Apostle so that he would make this dead man rest in peace. He heard my prayers right away, and the dead man disappeared on the instant. I offer this retablo for that.

Alejandro Cervantes wanted to show off in front of a chick and went to bullfight in the field totally naked. However, the bull took it seriously, and Alejandro almost lost his manliness. He thanks Saint James with this retablo for the recovery.

The little boy Juanito Lopez had a marvelous idea to go down the waterfall in a barrel. His parents thank Saint James because he survived and only broke his legs.

In Zacatecas Juventino Garcia was attacked by a bear. He entrusted himself to Saint James and with the saint’s help saved his skin. In gratitude for this great miracle he dedicate this retablo.
