May 17, 1951, during my act at the Union circus, a furios lion attacked me. My life was in danger, and I entrusted myself to the Virgin of Guadalupe of Mexico. I was saved, and I bring you this retablo in gratitude.

Higinio Rojas was installing an antenna on the roof of his new house when he was struck by a lighting. He thanks the Virgin of Guadalupe for he wasn’t fried with it but got just few burns.

I’m infinitely thankful to the Virgin of Guadalupe because I came through a very dangerous surgery when I was between life and death. I bring this retablo.

I thank the Virgin of Guadalupe for saving my husband from a heavy hemorrhage. The bleeding didn’t stop, he was choking with blood, and we implored to you, Holy Mother. We dedicate this retablo thanking you for having heard our prayers.

I was enjoying a vacation at the beaches of India when after an earthquake came the tsunami. I prayed the Virgin of Guadalupe so she would save me from death. Although, I was swept and suffered some injuries, miraculously I came out alive. I offer this in memory.

I met a ghost of the dead bride on my way. She was wondering around looking for her lover and abducted the travelers thinking that they were her husband. I give thanks to the Virgin of Guadalupe because I managed to escape from her riding her demon before she could catch me.

It happened so a giant rooster came for his eggs. I thank the Virgin for it didn’t attack me.
