One evening I was coming back from the town and a tremendous downpour began. Suddenly, a lightning struck and scared the horses in the corral. One of them jumped over the fence going over me. I thank the Virgin of Zapopan for the horse didn’t hit me, and I only got scared.

My children went to the mountains to gather wood when the thunderstorm began. There were many lightings and it rained very much, but thanks to the Virgin of Zapopan the kids found a cave where they hid themselves and waited until the storm ended. I thank the Virgin because I know there was no cave there, so it was a miracle.

Catarino Chavez was carrying wineskins with aguamiel near Cholula when he got caught in a strong thunderstorm. He was passing under a black cherry tree when a lighting struck into it. Catarino entrusted himself to the Virgin of Guadalupe. Neither he nor his donkeys got hurt. He thanks for that with the retablo.

The day, when I was going to marry Alonso, a lightning suddenly struck the church. It was strange, because it didn’t rain. We postponed the wedding, and then I found out that Alonso was already married. And the lightning was the Virgin of Guadalupe’s warning so that I wouldn’t marry him.

Since it was a terrible storm outside, I decided to wait until it finished watching TV. Suddenly I heard a very loud boom. I looked out and I saw that my car had been struck and burnt by lightning. I thank Our Lord Jesus Christ for the miracle that I wasn’t in the car at that moment.
