Thanks, Holy Virgin, for all your favours, especially for letting my dear friend Filemon Ramos and me stay in the living world. We let ourselves loose with very hot and sexy chicks.

My old man Cirilo used to drink in the bar with his friends. I was very desperate because he couldn’t stop. I begged the Holy Lord of Chalma to help him to quit this sin, and thanks to his divine intervention my old man amended his ways and became a good worker.

Our mariachi band singer got sick, and we didn’t know what to do. So our violinist Lupita offered herself to substitute her and she told us that she sings beautifully. We were surprised because it wasn’t true and, instead of singing, she screamed like a dog run over by a car. With all our hearts, we thank Saint Cecily for our main singer recovered her health because those days with Lupita were a real torture and we were frightened to be kicked out of the restaurant we played in.

My girlfriend’s father was a very strict and jealous farmer. She told me that he was scaring all her suitors and was telling that no one deserves his daughter. I thank the Virgin of San Juan because we got along well and he accepted me because he realized that I really love his daughter, and he sees me like a son.

To the Holy Virgin of San Juan, I dedicate this retablo thanking for protecting me from the immigration police when they were running after me. I entrusted myself to her and was able to get to Rio Bravo, hide myself and cross it. With her blessing, I came to California and got a job. I saved good money and opened my tacos shop here in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco.

The Garcia brothers, Silvestre and Valentin, thank the Virgin of Guadalupe, from the bottom of their hearts, for a gift to perform charreria. They’re very proud of making this mostly Mexican sport famous all over the world.

The mariachi band “Son of Tlaquepaque” thanks Saint Cecily with this retablo for made our singer Lupita, who sings so badly, understand that because of her howling we were losing clients and she’d better play the trumpet. So now the things are going better, and we’re happy.
