My agaves were possessed by maguey demons. They didn’t let me gather the maguey sap. So I prayed to the Holy Virgin, and she turned them into stones. Now the stones demons are very popular among the tourists. They come to see them, and I sell pulque to the tourists.

When Timoteo Perez was gathering the maguey sap, he found himself in serious danger, because an UFO was going to abduct him. He prayed the Virgin of the Solitude and didn’t get hurt. He only pissed his pants out of fear.

When Matilda Corona went to gather some prickly pears, a nagual appeared to her. The nagual started to persuade her to go with him and he promised her a treasure. Matilda thanks the Virgin of Guadalupe because she realized that the nagual was lying. She didn’t accept his proposition and didn’t fall in his trap. Matilda came back home, and the nagual never bother her since.

The Feast of San Juan is celebrated on June 24. We pray for a good monsoon to bring us the necessary rains that help the plants and animals. When the rains start, the desert comes to life. The smell of the wet creosote in the cool breeze gives a welcome relief. Early the next morning worms of flying ants hover in the air. The creeks and washes flow into the Santa Cruz river and within days, everything is green.

From the bottom of my heart, I thank the Holy Child of Atocha for healing my right eye. I got injured it with nopal cactus thorn. Petra Muños, his wife, testified to that.

Delfino Gonzalez was learning how to ride a horse, and the horse threw him off right on cactuses. He got seriously hurt. Delfino thanks Saint Jude for his quick recovery and also because he’s learned the right way to ride.

The plants in my garden were withered and didn’t flower. I was sad. I thank the Virgin of Zapopan for giving me an idea to play music for my plants. My garden came back to life and flourished. It became full of birds and butterflies. Now thanks to the music, I have the most beautiful garden in the neighborhood.
