The doña Paca’s tavern was very popular until one day a new joint opened up near by. They had a jukebox and offered free soft drinks and bread to the meal. Nobody came to doña Paca anymore. She was desperate, so she entrusted herself to Saint Francis. And a miracle happened right before her eyes. Giant cockroaches came from a garbage can and went in a line to the new tavern. So now the people prefer the doña Paca’s tavern again. She thanks her saint promoter.

My cousin and I discovered a place where the mermaids reunited. We noticed that they always returned over there to chat and play. So we had the idea to rent boats and bring tourists to look on the mermaids. Our business is going very well because everybody in the world wants to see such a wonderful show. And it seems we don’t bother the mermaids very much. We thank the Virgin of Zapopan for making us rich.

I give many thanks and dedicate this retablo to the Virgin of Carmen because my restaurant was going to be bankrupt when I got an idea to prepare a new dish with ground beef, potatoes, poblano pepper, tripe and vegetables. I put a price of 5 pesos on it, drink and coffee included. Now we can’t stop cooking, and we have became the most famous restaurant in the whole Queretaro. Thanks.

I thank Saint Paschal, a patron saint of cooks, because with his divine inspiration I became a very good pastry cook. Together with my daughter we make cookies and cakes. We’re good at that and we’re earning a living for our family.

I was desperate after I had been fired. I didn’t know how I would provide for my family. Then I had an idea to sell tacos by nights. I entrusted myself to Saint Jude Thaddeus, so he would help me. With his divine help I’m doing pretty well and I have many clients. May you be blessed.
