I dedicate this exvoto to Saint Thomas Aquinas for the literary fecundity of Sister Juana Ines de la Cruz. Not a long time ago I participated in a poetry contest in my town and I took the first prize for reading one of her poems.

Marta R. and Raquel M. brought wine to the school and got drunk, but the nuns caught them. They thank the Virgin of San Juan for they weren’t expelled and only had to sweep the school with hangover.

The Raquel Ramirez’ husband began to snore in a terrible manner. The poor woman couldn’t sleep for a whole week. Then she desperately prayed to the Virgin of the Rosary, and the merciful Virgin made the miracle. She made tea with the herbs prescribed by some nuns, and don Samuel stopped snorting eight days later. She thanks.

I bring this humble retablo as a testimony of my eternal gratitude to Saint Paschal. Thanks to the good taste he gives to my food, I managed to win the first place in the regional mole contest. I was able to help to my congregation with the prize.

We were going through difficulties with maintenance of the convent. But I had an idea to prepare and sell mole using my grandmother’s recipe. I thank Saint Paschal Baylon because it has been sold vey well and, thanks to his divine intervention, we can move on financially. May you be blessed.

I though the God called me and I went to a convent as a novice. But it happened so my old boyfriend Luis Reyes came back to the town and found out about my decision. The night before I took the veil he climbed to my window. Then I realized that I was still loving him, and we ran away by the roofs. I thank the Virgin of the Rosary for opening my eyes before I made a huge mistake.

My son Luisito’s school took the children for a walk in the hill. Since it was very windy and my boy is a very short and weak, he was taken by the wind in the air. Thanks to the Virgin of San Juan, the mother Carmelita was able to catch him after he flew for about 10 meters. The boy wasn’t hurt.
