September 25, at the celebration, Carlota Valdez ate 12 tamales, 8 tacos, 2 pozoles, a capirotada and two times chicken with mole. For this sin of gluttony, many little red devils came that night to punish her. They pitilessly pinched her wit their tridents. Then she repented of her great sin and begged the Virgin for forgiveness. The same moment the Virgin of Zapopan scared the devils away, and they disappeared.

With this retablo, I testify my gratitude to Saint Paschal Baylon for giving a great taste to my dishes, especially to mole poblano and chiles en nogada.
