I loved very much my grandmother Lupita who was like mother to me. On April 7,1966 she suddenly started to feel pain in the chest. I was repeating the saint name of the Virgin of Guadalupe so that my grandmother wouldn’t die from heart attack like doña Camelia (?). And the Virgin worked the miracle. The pain was gone, and now my grandmother feels much better.

Juan Antonio Ruiz Callo played with my husband’s pistol and deadly wounded himself. I was going to warn him and saw him shot. I implored to Saint Juadas Thaddeus for his life. The bullet went very close to the heart, and he survived. I offer this retablo for the miracle.

I give thanks to the Virgin of San Juan for bringing a great love in my life. When I already thought that my heart was dry and that I would never love again, this wonderful man came to my life. He made my heart beat fast again, and all around me got flourished and illuminated.

When I found out that Juansito cheated on me with this snake Mariela, I waited him at the kitchen. When he came back home from work, I killed him with the bread knife. Then I was going to thrust that knife into my heart but I fell and hit my head. I fainted. With this colorful picture I thank Saint Honoratus for the miracle that today, on the day of my 35th birthday, I’m going to be happy and in good health again.

Alberto Mendez was on the ferris wheel and had a heart attack. He thanks the Virgin of the Solitude with this retablo because he was helped promptly and his life was saved.

Andres Villegas got involved with a much younger girl. Because of a lot of sex, he had a heart attack. Andres thanks St. Francis for he was saved in time and promises to slow down.

I give thanks to Our Lady of Sorrows because all went well through my son’s dangerous cardiac surgery. We bring this retablo for this favor.

Virgin of San Juan, I thank you for healing me because I had problems with my heart. I ask you to take care of my son also, as he chose to follow the family tradition.
