I got an idea to put rose petals and candles in the bedroom to revive the flame of passion with my wife. But I didn’t calculate it well and put the candles too close to the curtain, and it caught on fire. I thank Saint Jude for I managed to put out the fire before the entire house was burned up.

With this exvoto, for God’s sake, I testify for such a great favor. I was very much worried about my wife who was a sleepwalker. She got up at night in her sleep and went out to the street putting herself in danger. When I entrusted her to the Virgin of Guadalupe, she quit sleepwalking. Otherwise I couldn’t sleep in peace because I was constantly watching her.

I asked my husband not to take this road, but he did. Thank God, I had some good wine which helped me to get rid of bad thoughts and I behave like an angel.

My husband, who lives in New York, used to work in a building very close to the Twin Towers. That morning, September 11, I was very much worried watching the news about that horrible attack. I’m infinitely grateful to the Virgin of Guadalupe for protecting my husband who came out unhurt. I beg you, Holy Virgin, for the souls of those innocents who died.

When this terrible tragedy happened in New York on September 11, 2001, my husband was going to work at the Twin Towers. When I saw the news on TV, I thought I wouldn’t see him ever again. But the Virgin of Guadalupe worked a miracle and few days later I received a word that he was alright.

My husband Roman H. S. is a drunkard, womanizer, party goer and gambler. I beg you, Virgin of Guadalupe, deliver him from going to hell.

I saw that a storm was about to start, and I ran to shelter the animals because my husband slept like a log. I got them under the roof but couldn’t ran to the house myself because a heavy rain with hail broke out. So I made myself comfortable among the animals, and I must confess, I have never slept so good as that nigh. I give thanks to Saint Francis because now when I really need to rest I come to sleep with them, as far as possible from my husband snoring.

Señorita Juanita Robles brings the present retablo to Saint Anthony giving him infinite thanks because he made so that she finally found a husband, although he’s in his sixties.

My husband was always snoring, especially after romantic pleasures. One day I prayed to Virgin Mary, and my husband left me for another woman. My life has become much calmer, and I’m infinitely thankful for that.

My husband was a football fan. He used to come home and turn on the TV first thing to watch his games. He didn’t pay me any attention and never had time for the intimacy. I was so desperate, I even thought about asking for a divorce. I fervently prayed Saint Charbel, and little by little my husband’s sport fever went down. Now he’s a more loving and, above all, fulfilling husband.

I dedicate the present exvoto to Saint Marinus in gratitude for my husband hasn’t found out about my secret relationship with his son—my step-son. I married for financial reasons because I was always poor. But it’s his son whom I madly and passionately in love with. Our love will always be forbidden, but we’ll cherish it with great discretion.

I thank Saint Jude for opening my eyes and letting me see that my husband cheated on me with my friend Chona.

My wife used to take all our cats into bed when we were going to sleep. I couldn’t sleep nor do my matrimonial duties while a black cat was staring at me with his yellow eyes. Then I implored the Virgin of Guadalupe, and thanks to her my wife stopped bringing the cats into bed. Now we sleep and enjoy ourselves alone, and I thank for that.
