My husband used to have dreams about voluptuous and seductive women. He hugged, kissed and spoke in the dream and had a stupid smile on his face. It drove me nuts. When I returned home after a trip, I found a vampire sleeping in my bed. This monster even used my pink sheets. I thank the Virgin of Zapopan, because I was so angry that I had no fear at all. I grabbed a crucifix from the wall and came close to the vampire. The monster got scared, he ran away and never came back.

Antonio Mendoza was walking and selling sweets in order to cover his family’s expenses. One day a furious mad woman answered the door and started to chase him with a knife. He thanks the Virgin of Zapopan because she was just about a few inches from him trying to kill him. He was able to escape from that madwoman, with great difficulty, and to save his own life.

My son Raulito loved when I read tales to him. He loved them so much he even began to read himself, and more quickly than other my children. When I was ill he read me, and it was wonderful. I thank the Virgin of Zapopan for such an intelligent and loving son.

Ana Maria Martinez had a high fever for three days. She saw transparent jelly monsters. They opened their mouths and tried to devour her. Ana thanks the Virgin of Zapopan because the fever declined and Ana doesn’t see those horrible nightmares anymore.

I married my beloved Chayito without knowing that she snores like a lion. Although I loved her, my marriage became a nightmare because I couldn’t sleep. I prayed to the Virgin of Zapopan so she’d help me to resolve my dilemma. And the Virgin miraculously made so my Chayito stopped snoring. I thank for that.

My wife began to sleep with the dogs. Because of that our bed was covered with their hair and it god filled with fleas. I began to sleep on the floor. But thanks to the Virgin of Zapopan’s miracle my wife finally got pregnant and sent dogs to sleep to another place. I offer this retablo for the double favor — I have a son and there are no dogs in my bed.

I went to the town market to sell oranges. I got tired and decided to ride my donkey. But I had put a little bit of weight. We were going down the hill, and the donkey’s legs slid apart under my weight combined with the weight of the oranges. We slid down the hill. Thanks to the Virgin of Zapopan there were a lot of bushes on our way and they stopped our falling. We didn’t broke any bones, only got scared and got few bruises.

My son Luis didn’t like to take a bath. He alway ran away and climbed at the trees. I prayed desperately to the Virgin of Zapopan so my son would let me wash him without making so much troubles. And the marvelous miracle happened—Luis began to love taking a bath. Now he doesn’t want to get out of the water. I thank the Virgin.

We thank the Virgin of Zapopan for meeting, loving and marrying each other. We aren’t perfect, we have some flaws, but we learned to love each other as we are and to forgive small mistakes. We are very happy.

My son Ramon Campos kept bad company and began to drink. I prayed to the Virgin of Zapopan to bring my son to the right path. August 1950, the Virgin made the miracle, and my son changed for better.

My adorable cat went away and didn’t come home for a few days. I was desperately looking for him until I found him in a neighbor’s yard. He fell in love with a nice pussy cat, and he wasn’t pleased to see me — he didn’t even look at me. I thank the Virgin of Zapopan for an idea to adopt this kitty so my cat wouldn’t have to wander about in search of love.
