January 4, 1931, Eutimio Mora went to swim while he was fishing at the Champoton laguna and had an encounter with a crocodile of more than two meters long. It attacked him furiously, and, finding himself exhausted, he was lucky to entrust himself to the divine image and was saved. He brings the present retablo in gratitude.

I deeply thank Saint Magdalene for letting me put my rooster in the circus, considering that the audience is already tired from spontaneous performances at the fair. One night I was awakened by the noise that came from a strange ball. It rolled right at me. The ball got on my sofa. I felt pain. It was very dark and very scary. Then this ball rolled back and disappeared in the open window. I thank my Guardian Angel, because there were only fighting cats. They scratched “Z” on my skin with their claws.

Bonifacio Menendes had a great fear of spiders. One day many of them appeared in his room. His implored Saint Patrick, and all the spiders disappeared. He fervently thanks for this favor.

When my husband left me, I became a beggar. But I was unlucky because a pickpocket monkey stole my alms. I asked the Child of Atocha for help, and thanks to him the thief monkey and I became partners. Now the monkey shares the loot with me. The things are going very well, and I even have extra money to donate to the Holy Child.

Vicente Ortega was bitten by a dog when he was coming out from his house. The bites were very bad, and they said he could lose his arm because it wouldn’t heal with the treatment they gave him. He implored the Holy Virgin of Los Remedios, and she granted him with healing. He brings her this retablo, as he promised, with eternal gratitude.
