My husband loved his dogs so much he let them sleep in our bedroom. But then the dogs had their five puppies and it became totally unbearable. I prayed to the Virgin of San Juan for a solution. I thank the Virgin because my husband finally agreed to build a kennel for them. So now I don’t suffer from dog hairs and fleas.

My wife began to eat in the bed. I hated it because there were a lot of crumbs in the bed. Also she chewed it with so much noise that I couldn’t sleep or watch TV. But the worst thing was that I was on a diet. But thanks to my prayers to the Virgin of San Juan an ant army came to our bed attracted by the food. They bit my wife so she stopped eating in bed.

One night my husband Filemon began snoring, and he snored ever since. I couldn’t sleep because of his noisy concert, and I even started thinking about the divorce. But then I prayed to the Virgin of Zapopan, who saved my marriage because suddenly Filemon stopped snoring.

My children’s socks disappeared in a suspicious and alarming way—there was only one sock missing in every pair. I didn’t know what to do. I bought them more socks, but some time later they also had only one sock from every pair. But then, one night, I heard some noises from under the bed. I looked there and I saw blue demons, who turned out to be responsible for the socks disappearance. I thank the Virgin of Zapopan for an idea to sprinkle the holy water under the beds. Now my kids have entire pairs of socks because the demons went away in fright.

Every night, a nagual came from under my bed and scared me. I prayed to the Virgin of Guadalupe, and the monster didn’t appear anymore.

When I returned home after a trip, I found a vampire sleeping in my bed. This monster even used my pink sheets. I thank the Virgin of Zapopan, because I was so angry that I had no fear at all. I grabbed a crucifix from the wall and came close to the vampire. The monster got scared, he ran away and never came back.

A giant spider used to build his web over my bed every night, and it looked me down with its devil eyes. At the mornings there was no spider. I cleaned up the web, but the next night it started all over again. Finally, after many prayers to Saint Barbara, I had a dream—the saint pierced the spider with her sword. So the next night the spider didn’t come. I thank for that.

My wife began to sleep with the dogs. Because of that our bed was covered with their hair and it god filled with fleas. I began to sleep on the floor. But thanks to the Virgin of Zapopan’s miracle my wife finally got pregnant and sent dogs to sleep to another place. I offer this retablo for the double favor — I have a son and there are no dogs in my bed.

I came back from my aunt earlier than I had thought and I caught my husband in our bed hugging this shameless dressmaker Rosa. I wanted to kill them with the kitchen knife, but the Virgin of San Juan retained my hand. I thank the Virgin because I didn’t commit a murder. But I took the broom and gave the bastards a good trashing though.

When I was sick, some horrible demons appeared in my bedroom. They were burning and smoking. I thank the Virgin for giving me enough strength to grab the crucifix that scared them away. They almost burnt my room <…>

My wife loves the cats. She brings every stray cat she found to our house. It’s not that I don’t like that cats. But she used to let them sleep in our bedroom. They didn’t sleep, they played and jumped all night. My wife sleeps like a log, and I started to see hallucinations because of lack of sleep. I thank the Virgin of Zapopan because my wife noticed the dark circles under my eyes. She locks the cats in the living room now, and I finally sleep peacefully.

When it’s very cold, I take my sheep and let them sleep in my bed to keep me warm. Beside the warmth I receive gratitude from them because they feel very comfortable in my bed. I thank Saint Francis because my sheep are so loving and docile.
