I loved smoking marijuana to get inspiration for my artworks. But one day I smoked too much and began to see my house cats having wings and flying around, and one of them even smiling me. It scared me a lot. I thank the Virgin of Zapopan for this hallucination didn’t last long. Now I smoke only once a week, and only two puffs at a time. There are no hallucinations after that.

Little girl Eliza flies at night. Thanks, Virgin, for delivering her from this illness.

Every night in my dreams I get wings and fly over my town. My problems go far away. I wake up happy because Lord gave me a new day. I breathe, I live. I paint. I love life. My Guardian Angel is always with me. I say “Thank you!”

When I feel overwhelmed or sad, I have a perfect remedy. At night I go flying with night birds and bats. trying to reach for the moon. I glide in the wind and merge with the night and its creatures. I’m infinitely thankful to the Holy Spirit for teaching me how to fly and how to leave the problems behind.

With this humble retablo, I thank Saint Jude Thaddeus because I was able to pass on this beautiful tradition of being a flyer to my son Venustiano. It was my honor to perform this beautiful dance since my young years. Now it’s he who is in charge of keeping our family tradition.

Thank you Jesus for I didn’t kill my grandma after I jumped wearing my supergirl cape. I really thought I could fly. But now I know I can’t believe everything I see on tv.

Flying girl, 6 years

I was drowning in the world of problems and worries, but one night the Virgin sent me a wonderful dream in which I flew through the sky scattered with stars guided by two little angels. Before this starry immensity I saw that my problems weren’t so big and so many. So now I’m living my life with much more optimism and serenity. I thank the Virgin of the Rosary.

One day when I was cooking, I took off and started floating in the air. I managed to come down only some time later. I was afraid and prayed to Saint Paschal because I continued to fly every day. Finally the saint made me understand that it was caused by quesadillas with mushrooms that I loved so much and ate frequently. Now, when I stopped eating them, everything is back to normal. I thank the Saint because it’s hard to cook while flying.

I was feeling little bit sick and went to bed early. Suddenly I saw all the cats from the neighborhood flying around me. My cats were flying as well, and they looked beautiful with wings. Nevertheless, I had a strange feeling about it. I supposed cats didn’t fly, and I became afraid I was going mad. I prayed to the Virgin of Zapopan, and she heard my prayers. Everything returned to normal—my cats landed on the floor and the other ones disappeared. I thank for this.

My life was very boring and tedious until I began to dream that I had wings and I flew in the sky full of stars. I thank the Holy Spirit for sending me these wonderful dreams. Now I am happy and more optimistic.

When I was overwhelmed with problems in my life, a poetry book appeared near my bed. I got down to read it and I discovered that the poetry gives me wings and makes me fly free like a bird towards the immensity. Since then when I get sad or have a problem I submerge in the poetry and I forget for a while about everything and feel myself like a pure spirit without mundane burdens. I thank the Virgin of Guadalupe for this comfort.

My husband bought an enormous kite for our little son Guancho. But since he’s so small when he tried to fly the kite the wind took up the kite but lifted him up of the ground as well. I thank the Virgin of Zapopan because she looks after my son, so the kite dragged him just for few meters, then he landed down. The boy wasn’t hurt, he was frightened and happy of having flown.
