Doña Romanita Montiel felt very lonely, that’s why she implored Saint Pancras, and the next day a neighbor presented her to the painter Frida Kahlo who gave her a parrot. Now she’s not so lonely, and she’s infinitely grateful for that, although the parrot is very insolent.

I, Smagluk Misha, was going at work and happened to turn my head to a shop-window. I fell in love at first sight with Jorik—an incredibly beautiful exotic parrot. Now he lives in my workshop. We have full mutual understanding. I thank my guardian angel for my head turned in the right direct at the right time.

My daughter Lourdes loves the music. She also likes the birds very much. When she’s playing her flute, the canaries began to sing, and also the parakeets and the cockatoos who sing very strangely but beautifully. I thank the Virgin of Zapopan because my daughter is such a sensitive and talented girl.

We went to spend some time in my husband’s rancho near Catemaco. The place is beautiful but little bit wild. One day my parrot—which was a gift from my husband—escaped, and I ran for him through the forest. The parrot was flying among other parrots, and I followed it carrying my baby so I was going slower and slower. Finally I caught the parrot. That moment I realized that we were lost. I was scared and asked the Virgin for help. She sent a group of monkeys. They were making a lot of noise but guided us to the house. I thank for this miracle.

We went to live to a country house that my husband had near Catemaco. The place was beautiful but a little bit wild. One day my parrot flew away and I ran following it flew toward the forest. I was behind it with my baby so I couldn’t go very fast. However, I finally reached it but then I could no longer found the the way back home. We were lost in the middle of nowhere. I got scared, but suddenly many funny monkeys appeared. They guided us by jumping from one branch to another, and they led us to our house. I thank the Virgin of Zapopan for this amazing miracle.

My husband brought me a beautiful ara parrot from Chiapas. It was so smart, it even learnt to say my name. It wasn’t accustomed to live in the house though, and on the third day it flew away to the field. I went for the parrot and finally found it. However, don’t know how, we ended up in a labyrinth of prickly plants. With the bird in my hand I tried to get out but the thorns didn’t let me out—my clothes and my hair was caught up. In despair, I prayed the Holy Spirit, and then the miracle happened. The plants seemed to open a passage for me and I got out with the parrot without many scratches. My dress was little bit torn though. I give thanks.

My husband got a parrot as a gift. The parrot sang obscene songs. My children didn’t understand it but were very happy and memorized all this filthiness. I asked Saint Francis to bring the parrot under control because my husband didn’t want to give it away. With saint’s help and with great patience I managed to make the parrot to sing nursery rhymes.
