Holy Virgin Mary, make sure that this long trip would go well and Alonso would return safely. Many thanks, Holy Virgin Mary.

I thank the Holy Heart for such a great good deed. I was on a trip to the Skull island in the Pacific looking for new species. There we caught an incredible huge ape called King Kong. We took him to New York to show to the people but he escaped leaving deaths and destruction. He grabbed me, without hurting me, and took me with him to the top of the highest skyscraper in the city. He was shot down, and my life was saved.

My husband and I were going through a marriage crisis. We even went through family therapy but it didn’t work. I didn’t want to divorce him but I didn’t know what to do. I’m infinitely grateful to Saint Anthony of Padua because I got an idea to invite my husband to the Zipolite nudist beach for a week-end. It revived the flame of our love, and now we love each other as much as when we were newlyweds.

When Michaela and Jorge went on board of a cruise ship, Michaela got so sick she spent four days in bed. Fortunately, Saint Christopher was so kind to cure her again, and on the fifth day she was able to walk around the beautiful city of Porto. However, she was still weak so she made many stops at the nice small town cafes. At the end it was much better than sit in a bus doing a tourist trip.

Virgin of Guadalupe, please calm the seas when I navigate around the world in our boat “Dvina”. Thanks.

I’ve always been a dreamer tucan, and my parents used to tell me that I need to get my head out of the clouds until one day I asked the Holy Virgin of Guadalupe to give me an opportunity for an adventure, and it happened. I’m about to embark to go to Alaska and to live as I always wanted—free. I thank and dedicate this picture.

I admire the paintings of the Mexican artist Frida Kahlo. I thank Saint Rita with this exvoto because when I travelled to Mexico I visited the Modern Art museum to contemplate one of my favorite works—her self-portrait called “The Two Fridas”.

I’m an American and I’m fascinated by the pre-hispanic cultures of Mexico. Every year I traveled to Mexico on my vacation and I’ve visited Monte Alban, Teotihuacan, Tula, Bonampak. But this year I’ve had to cancel everything because of the coronavirus pandemic. I beg Saint Christopher, patron saint of the travelers, to find a cure from COVID-19 sooner so I could visit the great Chichen Itza in Yucatan.

Dear Saint Christopher, protect me today in all my travels along the road’s way, give your warning sign if danger is near so that I may stop while the path is clear, be at my window and direct me through when the vision blurs from out of the blue, carry me safely to my destined pace, like you carried Christ in your close embrace. Amen.

When I was a little boy my father showed me a Godzilla movie. I was fascinated by this gigantic monster and became a fan of this kind of movies. I promised myself to go to Japan one day. With this retablo, I thank Saint Charbel with all my heart because thanks to my savings I could realize my dream and to know the city that my favorite monster destroyed in his movies.

I, Anastacio Rodriguez C., thank the Virgin of Guadalupe for helping me to achieve the dream of my life to go to the Carnival in Rio de Janeiro to look how the juicy Brazilian girls dance samba. I had been saving money for ten years, and it was worth it. I went as an organ-grinder to the south of the continent.
