One October night, I went to sing a serenade to my girlfriend. I was singing to her and heard enthusiastic applause. When I turned back, I saw skeletons cheerfully applauding me. My girlfriend and I got very scared. Thanks goodness, her window was opened, so I jumped into her room, although we had some problems with her parents after because of that. I thank the Virgin to not leave me to the bony dead’s mercy.

My father didn’t like that I was going out with Raul. But we loved each other. So we kept dating, but we met at the cemetery at night so nobody from the town would see us. One of those nights, we saw a couple of skeletons. They came out of their graves, and he was swearing her his eternal love. We were so overwhelmed with what we saw, the next day, I announced to my father that if he wouldn’t allow Raul visiting me at home, I’d run with him (?). Thanks to the Virgin of Guadalupe he understood me, so we can date openly.

Marcela Ramos and her friend Graciela were vending near the church. Marcela was selling fruits and punch, and Graciela was selling quesadillas. One day they didn’t sale a lot so they decided to keep working till late. It could happened—they thought—a hungry man would pass and would buy something. Some time later, they noticed a cheerful company approaching them. They were singing and laughing. But the they came closer, they resulted to be skeletons escaped from the cemetery. Graciela ran away, and Maricela decided to stay and to see if the skeletons would pay for what they were eating. They paid with old gold coins. They even paid for Graciela’s quesadillas. Maricela thanks the Virgin of Guadalupe for giving her courage to stay and to not run away from skeletons. Thanks to that she had a good profit that night.

The night of the Day of the Dead I decided to bring some flowers to my grand-mother’s grave. I was going to the cemetery when I found out it was very lively on the streets but there were only skeletons who were walking happily around. I thought I was going mad, I prayed the Virgin of Guadalupe and ran back. When I got home everything turned back to normal. I thank for that.

We moved to a new place. The land was barren and fruitless. There were no plants, no flowers which I loved so much. I tried to plant something but the soil was so dry nothing was growing. But one day wonderful peacocks came out of nowhere. They had colorful plumage, and some time later a grass and an apple tree grew up on the spot where they started to live. That’s how our petrified garden became a blooming paradise. I thank the Virgin of Guadalupe for this amazing miracle.

After my husband’s death, my children and I had financial problems. I was desperate and didn’t know what to do. But the Virgin of Guadalupe sent us different animals which we found one morning near our house. There were some chickens and a cow—they didn’t belong to anybody. I started to sell eggs and milk, and it helped us to survive until I found a good job. I thank the Holy Virgin for those animals that literally fell from heaven.

The new neighbor had an enormous and angry dog that scared my cats. I was afraid that one day it could kill one of them. I prayed to the Virgin of Zapopan, and thanks to her the neighbor didn’t last long and found a better house on the other side of the town. So my cats were saved from this beast.

When I broke my leg, Jose Luis Medina visited me every day. He brought me flowers and chocolates and helped me to start walking again. I thank the Virgin of Guadalupe for such a caring suitor. I’m even thinking to accept his marriage proposal.

I thank Holy Child with the Ball because my wedding was unforgettable. Not only I married my beloved one, but also during the banquet thousands of butterflies flew over to celebrate with us. They were flying around us fluttering their satin wings. Thanks to that miracle nobody will forget the happiest day of my life.

I thank the Virgin for the opportunity to try hallucinogenic mushrooms and to go to an incredible magic trip one can ever imagine. It helped me to find a great inner peace

When we were coming back from the evening mass we met a carriage with two skeletons in it. We thank the Virgin of Guadalupe for they didn’t notice us and continued their ride in the darkness. We came home safe and sound.
