Virgin of Guadalupe

April 16, 1974, my father and I were at the Arena Coliseo watching a wrestling match with El Santo, my greatest idol. I had suffered an accident which left me paralyzed. At the end of the event, Santo came down where we were and gave me one of his masks. Eventually, I began to walk again.

A wooden doll came to life and rebelled against me, and you helped me to control it. Thanks.

Virgin of Guadalupe, I ask you, please, so that my girlfriend Rosalba Perez wouldn’t make me suffer and wouldn’t go to the beach to dance with her friends because it makes me jealous.

Virgin of Guadalupe, thanks for you favors. With great pain in my heart but this was my decision—I had left my husband. I love him very much but I couldn’t live like this. I had to obey his orders and let him beat me with sexual objects to get him satisfied because he is a sadomasochist.

The night of February 22, 1913, I looked out the window after hearing the noise made by two cars. Everything looked very suspicious so I kept watching. I saw two men cowardly murdered. I didn’t know then that it was the president Francisco I. Madero and the vice-president Pino Suarez. I was scared because there was a big commotion and everyone who passed was arrested for interrogation. Today, after 5 years, I thank the Virgin of Guadalupe because I’m alive to tell about it.

We thank the Virgin of Guadalupe for protecting our heroes. Thanks for giving them strength and wisdom to take care of us. We ask you to protect them under your mantle. Amen.

I thank the Virgin of Guadalupe for curing my father Jose. We were playing soccer and he fell hitting his head and lain like dead. Seeing this tragedy I prayed for his life. Now he’s fine and we bring this retablo together for such luck.

Virgin of Guadalupe, I thank you for helping me solve my problems. I noticed strange behavior in my husband. He began to dress up and put perfume on, and every third day he went out telling me he was going to see his mom. He knew that I don’t talk with his mom and he thought I wouldn’t go to look for him at her house. So one night I followed him. I imagined he’d sneak in some brothel that we have in four blocks from my house. But what a surprise I had—he was hugging and kissing another man. That I couldn’t stand and I kicked him out because he turned to be a faggot.

I’ve always been a dreamer tucan, and my parents used to tell me that I need to get my head out of the clouds until one day I asked the Holy Virgin of Guadalupe to give me an opportunity for an adventure, and it happened. I’m about to embark to go to Alaska and to live as I always wanted—free. I thank and dedicate this picture.

I, Agustin Chavez, pay with this exvoto thanking for the Martian prostitute didn’t do me any harm. Although she’s not from this planet, she was pretty hot and very good in kissing.
