Virgin of the Solitude

I bring my gratitude to the Virgin of the Solitude for my son’s arm has been cured. He was hit with a lightning when we were gathering woods in mountains and got caught by a storm. I saw his arm getting on fire and immediately entrusted him to you. I dedicate this retablo thanking for the miracle.

I was going back to my hut when suddenly a bandit jumped out on my way. He was going to hurt me. I thank the Virgin of the Solitude for giving me the courage to take away the pistol from the bandit and defend myself. I saved my life, and I have three kids who totally depend on me.

Gregorio Cabrera got drunk, and when he went to the barn he fell impaling on his working instruments. He thanks the Virgin of the Solitude with this retablo for he was helped in time and taken to the hospital, and his life was saved.

The Jimenez brothers, Pablo and Juan, couldn’t find a job, so they opened a pizzeria. The business went very well, they even make show. They thank the Virgin of the Solitude for their success.

A heavy beam fell on the Isabel Jimenez’ leg during an earthquake. She thanks the Virgin of the Solitude with this retablo for she was saved in time and was able to walk again.

Isabel Sandobal used to steal laundry from roofs. But she got caught and put behind bars. She promises the Virgin of Solitude to amend her ways.

Don Mateo Vidal humbly dedicates this retablo to the Virgin of the Solitude thanking for he managed to preserve the family tradition of butterfly nets fishing. Since he was a child, his dad and grandfather taught him to fish, and now he’s teaching his own kids and feels very proud and blessed.

Gumara Tecanguey found herself in grave danger. Her husband was about to shoot her because of evil tongues telling him that she’d cheated on him. She thanks the Virgin of the Solitude for protecting her and her husband couldn’t prove anything.

The little boy Felipe Lopez had a marvelous idea to put a knife in at a socket. He was hit by a current. His parents thank the Virgin of the Solitude because, despite their son stuttering, nothing serious happened. They ask for his quick recovery.
