There was a big drought in 1963 and 1964. The soil started to crack and my animals were dying. I thank Saint Isidore the Labourer because finally, after many prayers and requests, 28th of july a heavy thunderstorm arrived with rain falling several days after.

One of my goats fell down a mountain slope. I thank the Virgin of San Juan because I was able to save her and the goat only hurt one leg.

Casimiro Beltrones was attacked by angry dogs, and they bit him. He thanks Saint Jude Thaddaeus, for dogs didn’t have rabies because he didn’t die.

I dedicate this retablo to the Virgin Mary because I found the pig we had lost.

Thanks to Saint George I realized that a cheetah protects much better than any bodyguard.

I thank Virgin of Zapopan because my children won a calf at church raffle.

I was going from Villalpina at full gallop, and my horse frightened by a viper fell right on me breaking my spine. I felt terrible pain and couldn’t move. So I implored you, Virgin of Guadalupe, to heal me. And two months later I was cured. Thank you for this miracle.

In Zacatecas Juventino Garcia was attacked by a bear. He entrusted himself to Saint James and with the saint’s help saved his skin. In gratitude for this great miracle he dedicate this retablo.

Miraculously my little girl was saved from an approaching train when her piglet stayed on the tracks. Thanks.

Carlitos Perez fell into the well trying to reach his ball, and the dog, who was very brave and smart, jumped after him, took the boy out from the water and kept him afloat until his older brothers came down to save him. The Carlitos family thanks the Virgin of San Juan because the boy is fine, and they also thank for having such a valiant dog.

Fernando Perez worked as snake charmer. One day he wanted to kiss a cobra but the snake bit his mouth. Since his condition was very dangerous he entrusted himself to Saint Charbel. Fernando thanks him for saving his life.

One night some martians landed on my farm. They got in my room through the window. I thank the Virgin of Zapopan for they didn’t abduct me or my dog that didn’t even wake up. One of my slippers is all they took.

My bed became possessed by a devil who arrived every night to sleep in it. And I had to sleep in the living room in a very uncomfortable position because I didn’t know what to do. Until one night my cat saw the devil’s tail and tried to eat it thinking it was a snake. My cat bit it, and the devil jumped out of the bed screaming like hell. After that he never came back. I thank the Virgin of Zapopan for giving my bed back because it has such a soft mattress that I bought in Guadalajara.
