We found a headless dove without blood on the set. It wasn’t a witchcraft but an extraterrestrial Peruvian chupacabra that drowned in the lake afterwards. I dedicate this retablo to Saint Genesius for saving our play.

My daughter was born with a strange illness that stopped her from receiving the sunlight. We had to organize a nocturnal life for us. It was little bit difficult at the beginning, but then we got used to it and built a beautiful world under the moonlight. We keep cats instead of dogs, we have an owl instead of canaries, we grow impossible plants and instead of sunbathing we are moonbathing. I know when the moment comes my beautiful daughter will meet a man who will be willing to share this world with her. I thank the sky for we are happy in spite of everything.

Gregoria Romero brings this retablo to Saint Pancras in gratitude for her friend Frida is very happy with a parrot she brought her from Chiapas. The thing she likes the most about the bird that it’s very insolent, just like Diego.

I, Smagluk Misha, was going at work and happened to turn my head to a shop-window. I fell in love at first sight with Jorik—an incredibly beautiful exotic parrot. Now he lives in my workshop. We have full mutual understanding. I thank my guardian angel for my head turned in the right direct at the right time.

I thank Saint Francis for giving my daughter the ability to communicate with birds. It’s amazing to see how the birds seek her and sit on her shoulders or in her hands or tangle in her hair, and she joins their twittering, and all together they make a harmonious symphony of friendship.

I’ve always been a dreamer tucan, and my parents used to tell me that I need to get my head out of the clouds until one day I asked the Holy Virgin of Guadalupe to give me an opportunity for an adventure, and it happened. I’m about to embark to go to Alaska and to live as I always wanted—free. I thank and dedicate this picture.

I deeply thank Saint Magdalene for letting me put my rooster in the circus, considering that the audience is already tired from spontaneous performances at the fair. Besides, I don’t like cockfighting. I feel the my roster Ray would be much happier with his friends the elephant and the giraffe. With sincere devotion, Placido Domiguez from Quecholac, Puebla.

I thank you, Virgin, for the kitty didn’t eat the baby bird that fell off the nest.

Virgin of the Solitude, bless this home.

Camila Garcia was ordered to prepare a mole, but her kiddo lost two turkeys. She thanks Saint Paschal Baylon with this retablo for the turkeys were found, although she isn’t sure they are the ones.

I went with my daughters to gather some herbs growing almost at the top of the mountain. They were very good for our grandma’s rheumatism. When we were coming down and passing at the narrowest part of the road, some birds, trying to catch insects and small snakes in the rocks, caused a landslide and a rain of stones. Stones were flying around us, but miraculously not one hit us. The stones were falling and tumbled down near us. We thank the Virgin of Zapopan for the miracle of protecting us from this rain of stones.
