We went fishing and saw dancing skeletons on the river-bank. We thank the Virgin because we managed to escape from there.

My daughter Carmela played laundress on a smooth stone on the lagoon shore. She slipped and fell in water sinking to the bottom. Thanks to the Virgin of San Juan the dog, who is very smart and swims very well, was able to save the girl before she would drown. I give thanks to the Virgin.

October 4, 195* my donkey Peroso stumbled and fell down the slope of the hill. I was riding him and also fell down. I give thanks to the Virgin of Zapopan for I didn’t die and my donkey also survived, although it became more stupid after that.

My fiancé and I give thanks to the Holy Sacrament because we got married and we are so enamored of each other. On the day of the wedding, we were so happy, that when we came out the church we started running and laughing, because the musicians we had hired followed us but they couldn’t play a tune and were making a lot of gestures.

The doña Paca’s tavern was very popular until one day a new joint opened up near by. They had a jukebox and offered free soft drinks and bread to the meal. Nobody came to doña Paca anymore. She was desperate, so she entrusted herself to Saint Francis. And a miracle happened right before her eyes. Giant cockroaches came from a garbage can and went in a line to the new tavern. So now the people prefer the doña Paca’s tavern again. She thanks her saint promoter.

Our new neighbor had an enormous and angry dog that scared my cats. I was afraid that one day it could kill one of them. So I prayed to the Virgin of Zapopan for protection, and thanks to her the neighbor didn’t stay for long here. He found a much better house on the other side of the town. He moved there, delivering my cats from his beast.

On my son Raul’s birthday party his older brother Luis climbed on a tree in the garden to fix piñata. He fell down and hit his head on the rocks. I saw him unconscious and wounded and I entrusted him to the Holy Virgin of Zapopan. Thanks to the Virgin the boy got better, didn’t lose his sight and didn’t became fool. I offer this retablo to the Saint Patroness.

I thank the Blessed Sacrament for the dream I had. I climbed a high ladder to the sky and there I was able to fly through the stars and the clouds that seemed almost like cotton. Since that night my infinite sadness, that always haunted me, went away and I became happy.
