I sold the oranges at the market and bought the piglet. I rode my donkey holding the piglet, when we fell into a pit. I fell down and the donkey with the piglet fell over me. I couldn’t move. I thought we were going to die down there in the dark. But thanks to Saint Francis a muleteer was passing by. He heard my screams, and he helped me out. I bruised myself but I was safe. The donkey and the piglet, since they fell on me, were also alright. I give thanks.

The music is a very important to our family, and it’s with us every day. Even our animals enjoy the music, and there are more singing birds in our garden than in any other. I thank the Virgin for such a harmony and because my children are also good musicians.

The girl Luisa tames the tigers, and the tigers love her very much. The Virgin gives her protection, and Luisa thanks for that.

It occurred to my wife to fulfill her childhood dream of becoming a circus artist. She got on our old horse, put a feather in her hair and started doing some tricks. She got all the animals scared and even the horse felt itself humiliated. I thank the Virgin of Guadalupe for bringing my wife back to reason so she forgot about this. Now she is alright <. . .> because we are expecting our first baby (?).

When the school where my wife used to teach for many years was closed she was very upset. She started to give lessons to our pets. It made me worried, so I prayed Saint Francis. He worked the miracle, and my wife received a teacher job offer from another school. She stopped torturing the poor animals which were very annoyed.

My husband loved his dogs so much he let them sleep in our bedroom. But then the dogs had their five puppies and it became totally unbearable. I prayed to the Virgin of San Juan for a solution. I thank the Virgin because my husband finally agreed to build a kennel for them. So now I don’t suffer from dog hairs and fleas.

I didn’t want a dog in our house, but my husband persuaded me to take one. I thank Saint Quiteria for helping me to get over my fear of dogs. Our dog is a very intelligent, and it’s a very good babysitter. It has a sixth sense to prevent our kids to go someplace without permission <. . .> I’ve become very fond of this dog.

A giant monstrous spider wove his web in the cupboard. When I found it I was paralyzed with fright, because I’am afraid of all the spiders, even the small garden spiders. But my son reacted very quickly and sprayed an insecticide on the animal. He had to use the whole can. I thank Saint Francis because the monster didn’t attack my son and because my son is a very brave boy and was able to kill the spider.

Raquel Rios and Veronica Gonzalez took stray dogs from the street and not only fed them but also washed and brushed them and got rid of fleas. Raquel and Veronica thank the Virgin of San Juan for the opportunity to take a lot of dogs and make them so beautiful that their friends and some other people would like to foster these dogs and even gave small donations to help in their cause.
