I was selling birds when I noticed a string of cats following me. They wanted to eat my poor birdies. I asked the Virgin of Zapopan for help, and suddenly a dog appeared that chased the cats. I thank the Virgin for that.

A crocodile got in our house. I tried to drive it out with a broom but my sister got another idea. She sprayed insecticide at the crocodile. It didn’t like either the sound of spraying or the taste of the insecticide that it got in its mouth. However, the crocodile decided that better go away. We thank the Virgin of San Juan because the animal didn’t bite us.

A horrible devil possessed my sweet and beloved animals and set them against me. When I saw them coming to attack me I took out the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe and the shinning of her image scared the devil. My animals recovered their mind, and I give thanks for the miracle.

Cornelio Benitez got lost in the desert with his donkey. He was so desperate when he saw the vultures flying over him. He asked the Virgin of Guadalupe for guiding him in right direction. And so he and the donkey came out of the desert. He thanks for this miracle.

Lucia Martinez bought a new dress and her first high heeled shoes. She dressed up and went with her little brother to the town square so that all the boys could admire her. But when she was going up the stairs one heel got stuck in the crack and she fell on her back. Lucia gives thanks for she didn’t fall on her brother, nor the dog. Although the stairs were high, Luisa didn’t hurt herself either. She only bruised her elbow. She gives special thanks because the heel didn’t break.

I give thanks to the Christ Almighty for protecting me and my horse Nevado (Snowy) on November 3, 1949. We were taking some passengers to the market in San Andres and the stallion was unbridled. The good Christ took pity on me, so neither I, nor Nevado got hurt. Although for the passengers it came out very badly.

The Jimenes sisters’ cow Jasmina had been lost. The cow was almost a family member for them. So the sisters were very desperate. They searched the cow for more than two weeks, and the neighbors kept telling them that Jasmina must had already been chopped for steaks. But thanks to prayers to Saint Francis of Assisi one morning the cow turned up calmly walking by the road. The sisters give thanks for this miraculous return.
