Finding his life in danger, he entrusted himself to the Virgin of Guadalupe who protected him so he could get out of the water and escape from those horrible animals. He offers this retablo in gratitude.

One night I went to the mountains, when suddenly a rider came near. In the light of the fire, I saw that it was the Black Cowboy himself. He offered me some gold coins. I remembered the legend that my wet nurse told me when I was a baby. She warned me that you should never take these coins from him, or he would take you right to hell. So I closed my eyes, prayed to Saint Benedict, and little by little the ghost disappeared.

I went to the mountains to gather wood. I was about to eat my juicy chicken when the Bony Death appeared and asked me for the half of my chicken. With all my heart, I implored the Virgin of Guadalupe. The horrible apparition sat down to eat in silence and then disappeared.

One night I camped in the mountains, and some extraterrestrials appeared to me. First I got scared but then, while the martians went looking for plants in the forest, I felt very peacefully. But when they flew away, the fear came back. I rushed to the tavern in the nearest village. I thank the Holy Spirit because the martians didn’t abduct me.

I went to camp in the mountains alone. The morning I was mortally terrified when I saw an enormous bear near my tent. I thank Saint Francis because the bear entertained himself with my beer cans and fell asleep afterwards so I could escape from this situation unhurt.

One beautiful night, I have to camp. I was assembling my tent when I saw witches flying over me. Thanks to my prayers to the Virgin of Guadalupe they didn’t notice me so I was saved from being bewitched.

One night I camped on the mountain. Then some extraterrestrials appeared. First I was scared, but then I felt calm and peace. Meanwhile, the martians were running across the forest looking for plants. When they were gone, the fear came back to me and I ran out of there to the tavern in the nearest village. I thank the Virgin of San Juan for the extraterrestrials didn’t abduct me.

One night I camped in the mountains. I made a fire to keep it warm and to keep the wolves away and went to sleep. But when the fire got out the wolves came closer. I woke up because they were grunting near me. I was scared, and I entrusted myself to the Blessed Sacrament asking for help. Then a marvelous miracle happened. A circle of light surrounded me. When one wolf tried to enter inside the circle, it howled from a terrible pain and ran away. It scared the others wolves away. They left me in peace, and I thank for that miracle.

One night I stopped to sleep in the mountain after a long walk. In the moonlight, I saw the witches flying to Catemaco, Veracruz. I thank the Blessed Sacrament for they didn’t notice me and didn’t put a spell or an evil eye on me.
