The Martinez twins found the pirate treasure in the bottom of the sea. Their family decided to divide it among all the inhabitants of the fishing village so that they could buy boats and everything they needed. The villagers give thanks to the Virgin de San Juan for the generosity of the Martinez family.

Margarita Segura was a very depressive girl. So when she saw that her fiancé didn’t arrive on the day of the wedding, she ran and threw herself to the lake, from which she was saved by a fisherman, thanks to the Virgin of the Rosary. Afterwards, she found out that her fiancé didn’t mean to leave her, but had some serious troubles and couldn’t arrive in time. She thanks the Virgin for being saved for her own happiness.

We went fishing, and our boat started leaking. There were a lot of hungry sharks around the boat. We asked the Virgin of the Rosary for protection, and miraculously we arrived to the shore before our boat sank and we were eaten by the sharks. We thank for that.

With this retablo, we thank Saint Jude Thaddeus, from the bottom of our hearts, for a very good fish season. Thanks to that we managed to open our fish shop at the city market. So now we can help our parents. May you be blessed.

My husband started to catch mermaids. I was very jealous seeing how beautiful they were. But when he saw that these damned gluttons were eating all his fish yield so he was left with nothing to sell, my husband finally came to his senses and released the mermaids back in the sea. I thank Saint Raphael, protector of the fishermen.

April 5, 1950, Lucio Perez was drowning but he was saved by fishermen. He thanks the Virgin of the Rosary.

I thank the Virgin of Help, because after the cruise ship, on which I went to Cancun, took the ground and I had to spend few minutes in the water totally naked, I was saved by the boat “Esmeralda” handled by a handsome fisherman, who became my husband nine months later.

My husband went fishing, but his boat never turned back because of a dense fog. Three days later a giant octopus dragged the boat pushing it with the tentacles. My husband was alive, and I thank the Virgin of the Rosary for that.
