My late husband was very jealous when he was alive. When don Pascual, the hardware store’s owner, started to court me after me being a widow for many years, the angry ghost of my husband Jose began to appear at night. I prayed the Virgin of Zapopan for her intervention so Jose would let me in peace. The Holy Virgin made the miracle, and the ghost didn’t come back, even despite the fact I accepted the Pascual’s courtship.

I give infinite thanks to the Virgin of Zapopan because I met a good, handsome and loving man whom I marry. We are deeply in love with each other, and our marriage will be very happy. We will live our life together and will love each other very much.

Irena and Rosa went to the market together. Suddenly an enormous bull came from an alley. He was probably escaped from its corral. He was in bad humor and began to chase the woman. They entrusted themselves to Saint Quiteria for they didn’t want to die being gored. The bull started to snort, and they got more scared. Rosa threw out her basket with vegetables, and the bull stopped chasing them and began to eat spinach and carrots. Irena and Rosa thank for they were saved.

When I married my sweet, delicate and beautiful fiancée I feel like the happiest man in the world. I didn’t know that this fragile being snored like a lion. I couldn’t imagine that a little mouth that looked like a rosebud could produce such terrible sounds. I loved her deeply but without being able to sleep my marriage turned into a nightmare. Then I implored the Virgin of Zapopan who, in her infinite mercy, worked a miracle, and my lovely wife stopped snoring. Now she just whistles but that doesn’t bother me. I give infinite thanks.

My husband loved dancing a lot, and I preferred not to because I had two left feet. Then I found out that my husband was going to the cabaret just to dance, and just thinking of him being in the arms of another woman—even just for dances—made me frantic. I prayed the Virgin of Zapopan, and my friend Lolita gave me dancing lessons. By a miracle, I learned something, and now I’m dancing with my husband and feel myself much confident.

On a picnic, my daughter followed some butterflies and went far away from us. We were playing and didn’t notice that she wasn’t there. She didn’t know how to return and got very scared. Instead of going back she walked far away. Then she asked the Holy Spirit for help. That moment, a light breeze came up and the seeds of the dandelion that she was holding in her hand flew away. She followed them, and they brought her to where we were searching her.

After many years of marriage my wife’s character changed. She had rage attacks in which she was throwing and braking everything she had around her. I took the animals so she wouldn’t throw them and prayed the Virgin of Zapopan to stop this nightmare. Thanks to the Virgin my wife came back to her good mood, and now she’s almost never angry.

I went to swim and dive to watch fish. Then I met face to face with a sea monster. I was in fright thinking that he was going to attack me with its claws, since it was half-devil, half-man and half-fish and he had giant claws. But thanks to the Holy Heart the monster seemed to get scared more than me when he saw me, so he swam away rapidly. I felt relieved but still—until the mister changed his mind and came back—I swam back to the beach.

I met a ghost of the dead bride on my way. She was wondering around looking for her lover and abducted the travelers thinking that they were her husband. I give thanks to the Virgin of Guadalupe because I managed to escape from her riding her demon before she could catch me.

An angry bull ran after Joaquin and Lara Ramirez. It escaped from the San Pedro ranch. The children prayed the Virgin of Zapopan, and the animal stopped chasing them and began to eat plants from the fence. Señora Ramirez offers this retablo on behalf of her children.

I was sick and was laying in the bed. One night, the Death came to my bedroom with the scythe, ready to take my life. I grabbed the crucifix to scare the Death, but he saw so many of them, he didn’t care. But my dog, however, seeing the bony legs and thinking that it was her dinner, ran joyfully for them. The Death got scared, ran away and never came back. Next morning I felt better. I thank the Virgin of Zapopan for saving my life.

My two daughters got into the storeroom where we kept our watermelon harvest and began to eat them. They were eating and eating them and didn’t feel that they ate too much. They felt so bad afterwards. I was afraid for them and prayed the Holy Child of Atocha to help them. The saint took mercy on my girls, and the next day they were feeling better. I thank for that.

The neighbor cat came to sit at the wall fence with her kittens. My daughter took a chair and climbed the wall to play with them. While playing, Juanita lost her equilibrium and fell on the broken pot. She cut her arm and leg. Seeing her all in blood, I prayed the Holy Child the Savior for help. Thanks to him the cuts weren’t so deep so there was no need for stitches.
