It happened on May 17, 1998. When I was coming out a restaurant in Polanco and was going to drop my boss, four subjects blocked my way. They blindfolded me and took me to a suburb. They told me it was a kidnapping. I felt asleep, and the morning I woke up in a drainage in Nezahualcoyotl. Since I saw that my ears weren’t cut off and all my fingers are in place I gratefully dedicate this retablo to the Archangel of Justice for protecting me.

Sept. 27, 1986. Thank you for intervening on my behalf. While I was cut with the weedwacker, the blade did not cut to the bone and I only required 5 stitches.

I dedicate this retablo to Saint Francis de Sales for the talent of the Norwegian painter Edvard Munch. His most famous work “The Scream”, as many other his works, brings to perfection such topics as anxiety and depression, and it made him a great representative of the XX century art.

Artemio Garcia and his buddy were coming back from the sowing when suddenly an angry bull jumped out on them and took up a tremendous chase after them. The buddy even forgot about his bad leg. He thanks Saint Charbel for this damned bull didn’t get them.

I dedicate this retablo to the Holy Lord of Chalma for the talent of great Mexican engraver artist Jose Guadalupe Posada. This prominent artist is known for his drawings full of social criticism and costumbrism with Mexican features. He’s also famous for his skeletons and La Catrina.

I bring the present retablo to the Child of Atocha for helping me to meet Tin Tan and convincing him to visit my ill aunt since she always dreamt of meeting him. He even sang and danced for her and didn’t charge us, and my aunt recovered.

My name is Dima M. I work as an engineer at the Olympic site in Sochi. I left my car in Krasnodar in the yard of my friend Katya D. Once the freezing rain occurred in Krasnodar. Katya D., with her gentle hands, cut the tree that was so heavy it was about to fall on the car. I thank my Guardian Angel and my friend for saving my car. I gave my car to Katya D. for that.

The federals caught me and they were going to shoot me for being a rebel. I implored the Lord of Chalma for my life, and that moment general Pancho Villa came into the town with his troops. They made the federals run away and saved my life. So I decided to join them, for which I dedicate this retablo.
