I bring this retablo to Saint Peter thanking him for my job. I sell coconut oil to the tourists on the beach. In addition to earning my money, I also enjoy applying the oil to the backs and legs of the beautiful foreign women.

My son Arturo became a good for nothing hippy. He spent days reading big books and smoking marijuana. I prayed to the Virgin of Zapopan to amend his ways. Thank to her, although he’s still reading his books and smoking, he got a very good job and started wearing shoes.

With devotion, I’m thanking the Virgin of Guadalupe for a miracle that I’m still working in my shoe-repair shop. I had some difficulties in my business and was ready to close my shop. But now everything’s going well again. Sometimes I had so much work, I can’t cope with it.

The former landowner noticed us one day that she had sold the building and was very sorry that we would be moved out and would have no place to live. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank Saint James the Apostle because the new owner turned out to be a good person and he let us live with a fair rent. He even offered me a doorman job and arranged a nice party for us.

So she managed to pay for her two sons’ studies—they even graduated and became professionals. She bought a house and opened a pharmacy. With this retablo, Berenice thanks the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception for protecting her all that time.
