I was swimming when I suddenly felt that someone was pulling me down. I saw two mermaids, they grabbed and tried to pull me to their domains. I felt dizzy because of lack of air. I implored Saint Barbara, and she came to help me. She made the mermaids let me go. I fainted. When I woke up, I was on the beach. I thank for this wonderful miracle that saved my life.

My husband brought home a mermaid. I was very jealous because he wouldn’t pay me any attention. One day he went to work. The mermaid was sleeping in her pond. So I caught her with a net and threw this damned creature in the sea. I thank the Virgin of San Juan because now my husband pays me more attention.

My husband and my son were bewitched by a mermaid singing. These fools wouldn’t fish. They came back home with no fish. Finally they realized that we had nothing to eat or to sell at the market. We were dying from hunger. So then they put corks in their ears for not to be bewitched. They were able to fish again, and I thank the Virgin for we have food on our table again.

A mermaid wanted to hypnotize me but the Virgin protected me.

A mermaid fell in love with my fiancé Jose Luis. She got so jealous, she grabbed my hair trying to take me to the bottom of the sea to drown me. I thank the Virgin of Zapopan because she gave Jose Luis enough strong to pull me out, so I wasn’t taken by the mermaid.

One nice day, I took my boat and went fishing in open sea. Suddenly some mermaids appeared. These sexy damned creatures wanted to play with me. Or maybe I fell asleep from hunger and these were just my imagination. However, thanks to my prayers to the Virgin of Guadalupe, there were nobody around and everything was calm.
