Three cubans spent a month in open sea. Dehydrated by heat they finally arrived to the beaches of Mexico.

Juan Gallardo was taken with the mermaid’s singing. He couldn’t sleep, he couldn’t eat, and was constantly thinking about her. He swam to the rocks to see her. His wife Rosario understood that she was loosing her husband, so she prayed to the Virgin of San Juan. The Virgin suggested Rosario should put earplugs in Juan’s ears. Thanks to that, the charms were broken and her husband was back to his senses again.

One morning I went fishing in my small boat. Suddenly I hooked an enormous sailfish. I give thanks to Saint Peter because after many hours of efforts I finally managed to catch it. I sold it and earned a lot of money.

Being a professional diver, I thought I’d never find time for love. I thank Saint Anthony of Padua for having met a wonderful women whom I share my love to the sea with. We enjoy protecting the reefs together, and even plan to get married at the bottom of the sea.

It happened at the Veracruz seaport. Guillermo Mendez Velasquez was unloading sorghum when suddenly the hoist cable broke. He fell down the water with all packages and went to the bottom. He was buried under the sacks for more than seven minutes. That deadly moment he was able to implore the Holy Trinity. His coworkers managed to pull him out. He was brought back to life only thanks to defibrillation and the divine intervention. He dedicates this retablo as gratitude.

When I was fishing one night, my boat started to sink. The sea was filled with sharks. I was scared and began to pray the Blessed Sacrament for help. They made the miracle and send me a giant bird which pulled me out of the water before I was attacked by the sharks. I thank the Blessed Sacrament.

Mario Montes was diving when he was suddenly attacked by a shark. Frightened, he prayed to the Virgin of Zapopan. Then the sea got filled with a lot of small fish and other sea creatures which were better to the shark taste. The shark got distracted, and Mario escaped. He thanks the Virgin.

When I went fishing with my son a giant octopus attacked us. Thanks to the Virgin of Guadalupe I was able to subdue it and throw it back to the sea. We give thanks.

Holy Child of Atocha, thank you for your help. I went to the sea to test my surf-board. I was catching the waves when suddenly I got cramp. My surf taken by the waves floated away from me. I tried to reach the rocks, but the waves smashed me into them. However, thanks to my Holy Child everything ended up well. I was saved by two boatmen.

My boyfriend was a sailor. I used to go to the sea cliff to see if his ship is coming back. One day I slipped and fell into the sea. I was stunned after the falling and went to the bottom of the sea. I was spluttering. Suddenly I saw mermaids. They took me and pulled to the surface. There I could breathe. It was Saint Barbara who sent me them for help. I thank her for this marvelous miracle.
