It was late at night, when me and my husband were coming home from our friend Jose Luis. Suddenly a witch riding the animal related to her, that was a pig, appeared to us. I was scared. I closed my eyes and started praying to the Virgin of San Juan. She worked the miracle, and the witch passed without seeing us. She didn’t cause any harm to us, nor put the evil eye. We thank the Holy Virgin.

A lot of scorpions came from under the roof when I was washing my son Carlitos. I thank the Virgin of San Juan because they didn’t sting us and we managed to kill them all.

My bedroom was filled with rats. They came out every night, and I was scared to go to the bathroom because they could have gotten in my bed. My cats though were so lazy, they didn’t catch them and slept all the time. Thanks to my prayers to the Virgin of Zapopan she gave me an idea to ask my neighbor for her cat. Her cat got through with the rats in one night. My cats were ashamed and now they stay awake at night and patrol the house so I have no more rats.

A devil liked to bath in my well at the full moon nights. The water tastes like sulphur after that. I prayed to the Virgin of the Rosary to drive the devil away. The Virgin worked the miracle, and the devil never came back. And the water tastes deliciously now.

My husband inherited a house and a ranch. When we moved there, I was scared to find out that there was a ghost of a woman that appeared from my bathroom’s mirror by nights. It cried and moaned. Thanks to my prayers to the Holy Child with the Ball and to three requiem masses, the ghost has rested in peace.

When it’s very cold, I take my sheep and let them sleep in my bed to keep me warm. Beside the warmth I receive gratitude from them because they feel very comfortable in my bed. I thank Saint Francis because my sheep are so loving and docile.

One full moon night, Antonio Gonzalez was coming back home and met two werewolves. They were apparently hungry and started to chase him. Antonio thanks Saint Quiteria for his horse ran faster than the wind and with the saint’s protection he managed to escape from these damned creatures.

On her third year in the boarding school, Dorita Martinez started to sleep-walking. She and her little sister Sandra prayed to the Virgin of Zapopan for curing Dorita because the nuns had told that if she wouldn’t stop sleep-walking they’d send her back home before the end of the school year. And Dorita was bored in her village. They thank the Virgin because she got cured.

Rosita Martinez thanks the Holy Heart because since she began to read books of fantasy, she has marvelous dreams. When she grows up, she wanted to be a writer to write stories about unicorns, mermaids and dragons.

I spoiled my dog and let it eat at the table. But when I married a wonderful woman, I was afraid she wouldn’t allow my dog to eat with us. But she happened to have two well-mannered piglets and they also ate at the table. I thank the Virgin of San Juan because we are a very happy family now.

Devils came from the hell and stole our horses. They entered out village with certainly bad intentions. They terrorized the people. We prayed to Saint Michael the Archangel, and he get the devils back to the hell with his sword.

The kitchen was filled with corn demons. They we’re unbearably naughty, and we had no idea how to get rid of them. We thank Saint Paschal Baylon, because with our prayers and little bit of holy water we chased these damned demons away.

My son’s godfather used to turn into a werewolf during the full moon because he had been bitten by one. When his wife got sick and I had to visit her every night, I took a lot of sausages and stakes so the werewolf wouldn’t attack us. Thanks to the Virgin of the Rosary he did never bite me nor my son.
