One night, after so many years of happy marriage, my husband began to snore. And he snored like a lion ever since. I couldn’t sleep and fell tired all day long. My happiness and my marriage were at danger. I prayed the Virgin of Zapopan, and she worked the miracle—my husband stopped snoring. Now we are happy again.

When we moved in another house, my daughter began to suffer from nighttime fears. She used to see threatening eyes and have nightmares. She woke up crying and screaming. We prayed her guardian angel for protection, and he chase the darkness away with his light. Now he keeps company to my daughter while she sleeps, and she has no more fears.

I went to put some flowers on the grave of my grandmother Lupita. I stayed at the cemetery till late night contemplating about my troubles. Suddenly some skeletons appeared and invited me to dance with them. I almost fainted of fear. But the skeletons were real gentlemen and hold me. They almost dragged me to their macabre party. I prayed to Saint Michael the Archangel, and he came with his bright sword. The skeletons saw him and ran ashamed and hid themselves in their tombs. I thank for I haven’t gone cuckoo after that.

My friend Camilo and I were coming back after having few drinks in the town. We had bad luck to cross our path with a horrible creature come from the hell. We weren’t sure if it was a demon, a witch or a ghost, but it looked very threatening. We thank the Virgin of Zapopan who covered us with her mantle so the creature passed by without noticing us. After that we set off at full gallop to home.

Our house was filled with cockroaches. Despite keeping our house neat and clean, these insects came in multitude. They even climbed the kitchen table. Nothing could kill them. So I prayed Saint Francis for help. He made the miracle and drove this creatures away. Our house was saved form those disgusting insects.

My son Arturo became a good for nothing hippy. He spent days reading big books and smoking marijuana. I prayed to the Virgin of Zapopan to amend his ways. Thank to her, although he’s still reading his books and smoking, he got a very good job and started wearing shoes.

Unfortunately, my husband Nicanor was a real drunkard. I had enough going after him in a bar and taking him home. I asked the Virgin of Zapopan for help. She worked a miracle. She appeared to my Nicanor in dazzling effulgence while he was sitting at the bar and told him: “Don’t ever drink, my son! Because you make others suffer.” My husband was mesmerized by the Virgin’s beauty and her intervention. He stopped drinking and became a more responsible person and a better worker.

Sign at the entrance: “Women and men in uniform not allowed.”

I was cleaning my son’s room and put all his stuff in a box. I was going to put it in the storeroom but when I opened the door dozens of bats flew out. They got all over the house. I was scared that they might drink our blood or infect us with rabies. I didn’t know what to do and I prayed to the Virgin of Zapopan. Thanks to her the bats escape through the opened door at the kitchen and the windows and went into the neighbor’s house. Thanks.

Almost all women in our family have beards. That’s why my sister and I thought that we were going to be circus phenomenons until we retire and then we would marry weird ugly men like our aunts did. Our circus routine had a big success because besides wearing beards we were very cute and funny. But we weren’t happy. One day thank to the Virgin of San Juan we found out about depilation. We got rid of our beards and married handsome men. We do not work in circus anymore.

It was a very hot day, and the Hernandez sisters went to swim in the river. They were happily refreshing in the water, when suddenly their dog started barking furiously. Then they saw two horrible crocodiles approaching them. The sisters thank Saint Quiteria for they ran out of the river before being attacked by those fierce-toothed creatures.

The Carlota Valdez’ knitting threads always got tangled up. She tried to put them separately but it didn’t help, and they inexplicably resulted tangled up anyway. The same happened with the electric wires. One night Carlota went to sleep and left her knitting basket under the bed. She was awaken by some noises and saw whose fault was it. There were blue demons playing with her threads. Carlota gives thanks to the Virgin of Zapopan, because that day she put an image of the Holy Virgin in the knitting basket and the demons never came back.

My house was filled with cockroaches. I tried to exterminate them but it didn’t work. One person who diverted himself with these horrible creatures was my son Toño who even took several cockroaches as his pets. I prayed to Saint Francis to save me from these bugs. The saint heard my prayers and took his animals to the neighbors. Now my house is clean of insects.

Casilda Ramirez slipped on a banana peel at the market and fell off the stairs. She fell over her daughter Josefina, and they both fell over a poor stray dog. Only thanks to the name of Saint Jude Thaddeus mentioned by Casilda during the fall nothing happened with her nor her daughter nor even the dog. They only got scared a lot. Casilda thanks for this miracle.
