S. T. loved erotic asphyxiation, and one day he came within a hair’s breadth of dying. He thanks Saint Pancras for he was found in time and saved from a certain death.

I wanted to impress my girlfriend and prepare a romantic dinner for our anniversary. I don’t know how to cook so I checked the recipes on the internet. I give thanks to Saint Anthony for my girl didn’t break up with me that night because the food was very bad, I messed up with salt and seasoning. At the end we ordered a pizza.

Teofilo Martinez’ canary, which was very important to him, was stolen while he went to the bar to take a leak. He implored Saint John Bosco and the next day found the bird. He’s happy to be with it and gives thanks.

Francisco Bejarano pays with this retablo for saving me from a she-devil who wanted to take me right to the hell but you, Virgin of Guadalupe, saved me.

I was very happy taking the sun at the beach when suddenly hundreds of crabs surrounded me. They were getting closer and closer to me. I thought they were going to attack me all together at once so I jumped away very scared. But then I noticed that it was my radio attracting them. It seemed they enjoyed the music which was very beautiful by the way. I thank the Virgin for this miracle of saving me from being attacked and pinched by those melomaniac crabs.

I used to wok as a taxi driver at the Los Angeles airport, California. One day I was waiting for a passenger and saw, with excitement, Elvis Presley arriving in his limousine. When he got out his car I saw his wallet falling off and he didn’t notice. I went to pick it up and gave it back. I thank Saint Patrick because, for this good deed, my rock idol gave me a photo with his autograph which I still keep.

Carlos Garcia wanted to get on with one slut but she didn’t respond to him. Then he prayed to Saint Anthony, and he made it so Carlos finally, after insisting so much, won the girl over. He brings the present retablo with infinite thanks.

My husband and I thank the Holy Lord of Chalma with this retablo for allowing us to perform the Son Jarocho dance every weekend in the city center and in the arcades. It fills us with pride to keep our traditions alive and to share our music with the tourists who visit the beautiful city of Veracruz.

Blessed Souls of the Purgatory. To them I dedicate this retablo because when we were making love in a chemical toilet at the Corona Capital festival and tried to make a selfie, the phone fell down. We started to look for it but realized it fell down the hole. We couldn’t recover it. It sucked—it was her phone. Uff… Lucky it wasn’t mine.

Thanks to my Guardian Angel because I, a hunger student, came to parents for vacation, and they had a sack full of dressed chicken!!! I was so happy that I’d gorge myself with them, I even threw the chicken in the air and cried delightedly: “Fly, doves, fly!”
