We were coming back from the Basilica where we asked for your blessing as we do every year. Suddenly my wife started to give birth. One woman and her daughter Lupita who worked at the market helped her. My wife was alright, and my son was born safely. I thank you for our fortune and dedicate this retablo to you and to the woman and her daughter. I’m going to name my son Jose Guadalupe because he was born on December 12, 1930, at 12:30.

I dedicate this drawing to the Virgin of Guadalupe in her Day, December 12, 2013, as sign of my eternal gratitude for showing me that despite my wife Maria Virginia de Sosisoxitl being incapable to cook neither ceviche nor pozole, she still can be very good at the kitchen… and dirty.

I ordered this retablo to Saint Diego as I had promised. It was my first time and I’ll never forget it. I was 17 and I used condom for protection from infection. I had a lot of fun with a prostitute. When I saw how voluptuous she was I couldn’t control myself and went in hotel with her. It happened in Sulivan, Mexico on Friday, August 16, 2002.

I proudly present this retablo that depicts that day, December 6, 1914. May the Virgin protect us who are fighting in the Revolution under her protection.
