I dedicate to Saint Jude Thaddeus the present retablo in honor of the great actress Maria Felix better known as “La Doña”. Her beauty and her boldness in playing the roles of women with strong character made her a legend of Mexican cinema.

I dedicate this humble retablo to Saint Jude Thaddeus asking him for the eternal rest of hundreds of firefighters died trying to save people on that tragic September 11, 2001. I’m also asking for nothing of this kind would happen ever again.

Jesus Encarnacion Lopez loved rock and created his own death-metal band. But because of lack of technique he damaged his vocal cords after screaming too much. He thanks Saint Jude for he has recovered after some stinky herbs treatment.

Juan Ramirez got angry with his grandson who wouldn’t quiet down and hit him in the mug with a stick. He got in jail for that. He thanks Saint Jude Thaddeus with this retablo for getting out and promises to be a better person.

Alfonso Gonzales went to trim trees at the house of his master and found out that the master’s wife was putting horns on him. He informed the master right away. He thanks Saint Jude Thaddeus for a nice remuneration he received for tipping off.

My daughter Evarista was very sad because her 15th birthday was coming and we lacked money to celebrate it. I entrusted myself to Saint Jude Thaddeus, and he helped me. The carnitas sales went very well, and I could organize a party with a big feast for the neighborhood. I thank for that.

Alejandro S. was getting married and felt sick during the reception and fell on the cake. He gives thanks to Saint Jude with this retablo because his fiancée was understanding although she laughed at him afterwards.

During a ballet rehearsal Arturo Lezama lifted up his partner and hurt his back very badly. He gives thanks to Saint Jude for his prompt recovery.

Agustin Meneses has a bar which was going bankrupt because of lack of clients. Then he decided to put topless waitresses. He thanks Saint Jude with the present retablo because a lot of people come here now and the things are going well.

The discussion on the stands became very intense during a game Chivas–America, and Facundo Romero ended up in a fight with Alfredo Sierra. They both thank Saint Jude Thaddeus for they managed to get out from the stadium without being arrested, although very much beaten. Now they are friends.

There was a very pretty girl in our town that I liked very much. One night I embrace myself to give her a serenade without any idea that she had a very aggressive and grumpy father. I thank Saint Jude Thaddeus with this humble retablo because the mariachi and I could escape before he started to shoot at us with a shotgun he pulled out.

Saint Jude Thaddeus, thank you for the happiness you gave me. I was looking for a partner so long and then I met Enrique, a boy from the capital. We began to date. I found the real love with him. Before him I had been treated very badly and bullied. My father had even kicked me out of house at midnight with a thunderstorm outside.

Thanks to his jumps the wrestler Holy Mask won over the Little Phantom and became the first ever champion among little people according to the World Wrestling Committee. The audience at the Arena Mexico was roaring which isn’t easy to achieve. March 10, 1992. I thank Saint Jude Thaddeus.
