Virgin of Guadalupe, I promised you if I’d come back to work in the circus I’d order you this retablo. Now, thanks to you, I’m giving you thanks and dedicate this performance to you, after an illness that kept me away from the circus, which is my passion, for more than a year.

I give thanks to the Virgin of Guadalupe for enlightening my friend Juan who left La Pintana in the midst of Apocalypse, on his bike, on August 10. Today, August 31, he arrived to Chañaral and made the half of his route to Tacna which is in the south of Peru. Thanks, Virgin, for delighting his eyes with pure geography and for he doesn’t need any anti-rash creme.

My friend and I went on our bikes 15 km from our village to eat mulberries. When I picked the berries I was so delighted I lost my awareness and didn’t notice a pit. The pit was deep, and I fell into it on my belly and my spine arched. Thanks to the Guardian Angel I didn’t break in two pieces and didn’t ride home with my knees backwards.

I was training for a bicycle competition in my beautiful Cozumel when a damned stone—which I couldn’t avoid—made me lose the control of the bike… the handlebar flew off at the same time. Frightened to fall to the ravine, I entrusted myself to the Holy Heart, and, in its infinite goodness, it saved me from dying.

When I was delivering bread an angry dog attacked me and I drop everything on the ground. Thanks to the Holy Heart I just dusted the bread off and nobody noticed it. This retablo is in memory of this.

Every time I had to sell my bread on the street, a very angry dog jumped on me. It barked and chased me for few blocks not letting me deliver the bread to my clients. With all my faith, I asked the Holy Child of Atocha for help, and few days later the owners of this dog changed the house and took the dog with them. Now I can work in peace.

Anselmo got drunk because of a love pain, and he was so drunk he fell asleep outside the canteen. When he woke up the next morning he found out that the dead took control of the town. They walked around like they were inhabitants of the town. Anselmo closed his eyes and began to pray fervently to the Virgin of Guadalupe. When he opened his eyes the dead had gone and the normal people was walking around. He thanks the Virgin.

They publish one of my story in the newspaper, and they they called me to bring more. Since I’m little bit messy, all my text were in manuscripts. I took all my papers yo let them choose what to print and went there on my bike. Right away a strong wind blew in my face, and all my papers flew away. I felt like the work of few years of my life had gone. But with a help of Saint Barbara I was able to pick up everything, and even my doggy helped me. By a miracle I didn’t lose not one list. I thank the saint for the miracle.
