When my husband went to work at the north, I felt very lonely and started to play guitar outside at night. Little by little my music attracted all the cats from our neighborhood. They came to listen me, and they were captivated by my music. My music affected not only the cats. Out of nowhere every time came the little boy and started to play his flute. And when he finished he went away without saying anything. I thank the Virgin of Zapopan for this big company I have now.

I had to pass through the cats in order to get to my new apartment. I always had an irrational fear of the cats and felt very nervous around them. I tried to scare the cats off but they kept staying stayed there. I asked the Virgin for help, and she made so that my fear began to fade away. Now I like the cats. I even give them milk and sometimes stroke them.

My cats, which grew up together, suddenly stopped being friendly and began fighting ferociously. I prayed the Virgin because I couldn’t stand seeing them fighting constantly. Thanks to the Virgin the cats calmed down, and now they’re friends again.

Arturo Vasquez was lying ill in his bed when suddenly everything in the room got up in the air and started floating around. The cats got wings and began flying. His bed was floating too. Arturo felt giddiness and asked the Virgin to put everything down.

The Virgin had mercy upon him and made so he woke up in his bed. Although the cats were still flying, Arturo wasn’t. He thanks the Virgin for that.

I send a thousand blessings to St. Rita high up in heaven for granting me a husband, a detached house with garden, cat-flop and close to amenities and tube. And two kittens.

Thank you Lord that I didn’t have to pay a reward as Moth came back after two months. He’s got dysentery and one ear missing but he’s now home and I won’t kick him anymore when he pees in my Christian Dior coat.

The cat of the boy Ramon Lopez was lost. One month later, after praying to St. Nicholas, the cat appeared in the window. They dedicate this retablo thanking for that.

My husband was an old school hippy who used to smoke marijuana all day long. He did it for the inspiration—to draw better. However, instead of this, he became more stupid. One day he began seeing flying cats. He though it was funny. But when the cats smiled at him and started talking with him he got scared. After that he decided to quit smoking. I thank the Virgin because my house doesn’t smell like marijuana anymore and my husband even found a steady job.

Adelina Martinez Villafuerte went with her daughter Josefina in the garden for refreshments. But a cat pushed a flowerpot, and it fell right on her head. She passed out. Her scared daughter prayed to the Virgin of Zapopan and she miraculously brought Adeline back to life.

I thank Saint Anthony because I married a good man who loves me and the animals. He accepted me with my monkey, two dogs, two cats and my parrot. Now we’re all happy on his ranch.

When I was coming back from the market I saw two dogs cornered two cats in an alley. The dogs were barking and grunting ferociously. The poor cats had no way to run. I came quickly, grab the cats and ran away. The dogs went after us, but thanks to Saint Quiteria I was able to run into the church before we were attacked. With the saint’s help I saved the cats, and I dedicate her this retablo.

The Carlota Valdez’s house was filled with bats. They were flying over her bed and brought her nightmares. Carlota was scared that they might be vampires and could suck her and her cat’s blood and that she and her cat would become living dead for ever. Carlota was so distressed, she prayed Saint Quiteria for protection. The saint worked the miracle, and the bats flew to live in another place. Carlota thanks for that with this retablo.
