I heard some noise in the night, I woke up and saw a dead men coming into the house. I implored you, Virgin of Guadalupe, not to let him come to me, and you heard me. Thanks.

I was playing with a board that I found very strange, and ghosts appeared. Forgive me, Virgin.

I decided to put offerings for my late wife on the Day of the Dead and prepared her favorite dishes. On that night I heard someone calling me. When I came to the kitchen I saw that it was my wife telling me off because the food was too salty. I thank God for it was only one time that night when I saw my grumpy wife again because she was unbearable in real life.

The night when I was coming back from Xaltocan lake by Axomulco canal after midnight, the Weeping Woman herself appeared to me. I got goosebumps. I prayed Our Father and entrusted her lost soul to Niñopa. I cross myself each time I passed this place and she has never appeared to me anymore. I thank for the received favor.

My mother told me not to eat the offerings we put to my grandfather on the Day of the Dead because if I do eat he would come at night and grab my legs. I didn’t believe it and I secretly ate some pastry from the altar. That night I was woken by my grandfather’s spirit. He was very angry and scolded me. I prayed the Lord of the Wonders, and little by little the spirit disappeared. For that I promise not to be so naughty and gluttonous.

When Elisa and I were engaged, she was so jealous that on the day of the wedding, after the banquet, she was on edge and she died of indigestion. Three years later I decided to marry again. I met a nice beautiful girl, and we got married. After our honeymoon, when we were back, Elisa’s ghost began to appear in our bedroom. She was furious and stared at us with anger. I was frightened, I prayed the Virgin of Zapopan for her soul. I even brought a priest and sprinkled holy water. Her soul rested in peace, and now we can sleep with peace.

Florencio Dominguez had too much mezcal and got so drunk he fell asleep in the mountains. In the middle of the night, he was awaken by laments, and he saw, with fear, the Weeping Woman in front of him. He infinitely thanks Saint Michael the Archangel with this humble retablo for he was able to run away safe and sound and promises to not drink ever again.

My ex-husband kept bothering me and scaring off my suitors even many years after his death, and you, Virgin of the Solitude, made him go away for ever.

My husband inherited a haunted house from a distant uncle. We didn’t know what to do with it—or demolish the house and sell the land or exorcise it. But it happened that a ghostbuster club bought the house. We thank the Holy Virgin of San Juan because they paid us much more than the value of the real estate.

The night of November 1, I went to work in my taxi to make some dough. I met a lady on the highway who asked me to take her to one place. When we arrived I got goosebumps because there was a cross and the lady said that she had died here. With all might, I entrusted myself to Saint Benedict, and suddenly she disappeared and nothing happened to me. I dedicate this simple retablo for that.

Suffering Frida, you don’t suffer anymore. I beg you, Divine Baby Jesus, make her rest in peace so she would stop appearing in her studio.

Two nights ago I was looking for my lost cow, when the Ghost from Sayula appeared. It wanted to take me taking advantage of the moment when I had to do my business. It promised me a good reward. Being under such a pressure, I implored the Virgin of San Juan who helped me to escape well from this horror. This retablo is in gratitude.
